Is it just me?

While the prospect is somewhat distant, Newscorp are still circling Fairfax after buying an 8% share. If the Rupe could gain a foothold with two major papers, it also raises the somewhat more distant possibility of Newscorp purchasing one of the new digital channels alloted to Canwest. Canwest is also putting the word out that they may be interested in selling off their local media interests, raising the possibility of a right-wing (although not Newscorp) interests taking off.

Even if their isn’t a glorious media revolution I can still dream of the day of the Leighton Smith Factor.
