Breasel at it again

Brenden Sheehan knows no shame. Instead of apologising to New Zealand for using the death of his “relative” he is now seeking compensation to the remaining family of Fololobese Muliaga.

He says they need money for their education. Well so bloody what!

When will this corpse cuddling Svengali of the political landscape apologise for politicising the death of his “relative” especially now after overwhelming evidence presented at the coronor’s inquest showed that the only person to blame for Fololobese’s death was her and her inability to stop shoving food into her mouth.

For god’s sake she weighed 200kgs!!!, she had “no resusitate” orders on her (inother words medical staff knew she was screwed) and still Breasel calls for money.

Well fuck him and his immense “family”.

    Huh?

Depression is not a disease and it certainly is not genetically inherited.

yes there are some disorders that can make you fat ie a thyroid problem but Obesity is NOT a disorder in itself. You cannot catch it.

I understand why you used depression as an example in order to try to make it personal for Whaleoil. That would work if your arguement was logical.

Whaleoil and I did NOT catch depression. it was NOT genetically inherited. We failed to cope when a major crisis hit and we felt that we had no control over the situation.

That is what happened. We did not catch it. We both realised that we had a problem and got help. We didn’t BLAME anyone else. Shit happens and this particular time the straw broke the camels back. Just like a weigh lifter can only lift their personal best in this case we found ourselves unable to handle what life had thrown at us.

But guess what. We have worked on the problem, we have gotten stronger and have in fact dealt with worse situations since because we have bulit up our ‘ coping ‘ muscles.

Depression is NOT a disease, it is a failure to cope that can be overcome.

Perhaps the lady who died had a medical problem that made her obese that she could not over come.

Perhaps she had an eating problem that she could not over come.

Some people do not overcome depression. They committ suicide. it is very sad but it was their choice, bad as that choice may be

I was suicidal at one point in my life. Those thoughts were unacceptable to me so i made a choice. I got help. Leaving my family without a mother was NEVER an option for me.

When I got over weight after coming off my anit depressant medication I made a other choice. i went on a diet and started running around the block.

“obesity has everything to do with diet – yeah right!”

Brenden you are now just apologising for fat stupid people.  Spanishbride is quite correct – she went on a diet and ran around the block well before it was too late.  The exercise possibly helped with her depression as well. This is the difference in her intellect and that of Mrs Muliaga.

I have been to South Auckland plenty of times and I have seen what South Aucklanders eat.  Lines at takeaway bars are epidemic and teenage children are bursting out of their size 20 school uniforms.  I have worked (voluntarily in my law school community service) at the Court at Otahuhu and again, seen the diets these people consume.

I didn’t see many lining up for rice, lettuce and mung beans.  And I didn’t see much demand in South Auckland for salad bars.

Interestingly Chinese as a race are becoming obese.  Traditionally every apologist has used them as an excuse for this whole “good genetics” nonsense.  They haven’t got any better genetics than Islanders, in fact many have very close genetic make-ups.

The Chinese are becoming fat and then obese because they have switched FROM rice and small portions to fast food, fats and large portions. This is the cause of obesity, not a function of it.

If Mrs Muliaga had excess fluid retention from her heart condition it was caused by her being hideously overweight in the first place.  Obviously there is some sympathy for her plight as she was no more overweight than 3/4′s of the population of South Auckland but this is where you should be focusing your efforts if you wish to make a real difference to this community as a politician.  Tell the lazy fat fuckers to go do some exercise and eat better food rather than sit around on the couch and eat piles of calories.  Then they wouldn’t suffer these terrible preventable deaths in the first instance.

I agree the family should be compensated for her loss and money be placed for the children in an education fund.  The problem with that is that they have been educated in the public school system in NZ and it’s obviously a complete waste of money.  The credit for her death should be offset against the large debit in taxpayer funding already for this family.

The children would be far better off forgetting the concept of education and contributing to their family situation by doing some manual labour.  May help with their lard arse problems as well.

    Sheehan

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for making this afternoon a heap of fun. We were having a little soiree which included both a GP and a nutritionist  (for one of our national teams). Now I am slightly larger than most (in all directions) and the conversation turned to weight and weight-loss.  I showed them your post.

They confirm the fact that Labour is now resorting to depending on class clowns to try and win some votes. They called it one of the biggest load of bullshit either has ever read. Sort of up there with Tom Cruise’s believe that salvation comes from an electrical device.

Brenden – I’m not about to get personal about your extended family, but if you are economic with the truth, expect to be called on it.

    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/1/story.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10512565&pnum=0

Ms Hart told the inquest Mrs Muliaga was repeatedly told she needed to lose weight, or it could lead to further health problems.

Mrs Muliaga’s weight was normally around 168kg and she found it hard to lose weight, she said.

Ms Hart said Mrs Muliaga told her stress from attending teachers’ training college and running a house meant “she did not always think about what she eats”.

The pair discussed Mrs Muliaga getting a disability allowance so she could afford food which would benefit her health.

Ms Hart said she warned Mrs Muliaga repeatedly about her diet, which included fatty foods, and her lack of exercise.

At one point she showed Mrs Muliaga an X-ray of her chest showing her enlarged heart and explained her heart would not cope if she did not take her health seriously.”

I also remember hearing on the radio that Mrs Muliaga had a particular weakness for mutton flaps. Now I can hardly be critical having just devoured a plate of the most delicious hangi which a friend dropped around with, but mutton is notoriously fatty.

And to go right back to the initial post and my first response – you are being premature in talking about compensation whilst this matter is sub-judice.

But the ‘story’ makes excellent propoganda for breasel and his ilk when they canvas for votes with the union reps.

National are a bunch of rich fuckers like power companies, and you know what they do eh..  Labour will look after you eh.  Vote for me, I’m Labour eh.

Methinks Mr Sheehan, Labour candidate for Botany should wait until the Coroner releases his decision.

  • barnsleybill

Compensation for what? Was she earning a shed load? I think not…

  • brendensheehan

Does your ‘fuck you’ to my ‘immense’ family include a fuck you to the many teachers, lawyers, doctors and police that form my extended family? If so then more pity you sad boy.

Amazing that for one who didn’t attend a single day of the inquest you are such an expert. The only problem with your theory is that there was no evidence whatsoever presented to the Coroner that Folole overate. In fact the evidence presented was to the contrary - her diet consisted of lettuce, vegetables and rice.

Once upon a time people like you who suffer from depression were called lunatics. They were locked up in asylums and treated liked cancers upon society. Just read a bit of Dickens and you will know what I mean. As you well know the reality of course is that depressives suffer from a disease – one that is primarily curable by medication.

And here we are 100 years later presented with another disease that the public knows little about – obesity. Just like we used to say depressives were lunatics, some now say that obesity sufferers are overeaters. The reality is far divorced from this ignorant perception.

People who have the disease of obesity suffer from increased weight loss pretty much regardless of what they eat. The weight increase is a result not of food but of fluid in the body, caused by decreased heart function which is symptomatic of the disease. So despite whether the sufferer eats 100 steaks or a single lettuce leaf, they can gain weight.

There is at present only one known cure to the ailment – bariatriac sugery, commonly known as stomach stapling. However for some reason the health system prefers to waste money on useless treatments when the weight of evidence says only surgery can address the problem. And just like you the health providers seem to prefer a blame the sufferer mentality rather than accepting the disease and dealing with it.

You really should focus your anger on ignorant perceptions of disease rather than attacking those who suffer from ailments. Imagine yourself in the Victorian era and you might start to see things in a different light.

The bottom line with obesity is that calories in exceed calories burned.

The factors that affect that are that the appetite is not ‘turned off’ by food intake and that the metabolism is low- few calories are needed, thus they convert food to adipose tissue more readily.

This line about eating two lettuce leaves and gaining weight is nonsense. if one is not losing weight on rice 7 veg, they are probably eating rice like a sumo wrestler. or cheating.

The concious mind must overcome the desire to eat. The food is in fact an addiction- that’s why surgical intervention is often needed.

  • brendensheehan

Bullshit. That is an extremely simplistic analysis that in reality is just plain wrong. In effect it is like positing that mental illness is the fault of the sufferer rather than a biologically inherited chemical disease. Have a look at one of the real causes as identified by the US Obesity Society:

What is the big deal about leptin?

As the obesity epidemic worsens, endocrine researchers understand
the urgency to clarify the important role genetic factors play in
    the development of obesity.

Leptin, a hormone secreted by fat cells that was discovered in
1994, was found to not only control food intake, but also to impact
other functions that are affected by energy balance which could relate to obesity. High leptin
levels trigger growth and readiness for reproduction. Research has
shown that overweight individuals have high concentrations of leptin
in the blood, indicating that these individuals do not respond to
leptin by reducing food intake. Furthermore, endocrine research has
found that obese patients respond poorly to leptin, suggesting the
    presence of leptin resistance.

It is also well established that hormonal disorders and genetics play a major role in obesity. To suggest that it can be cured by some sort of starvation diet is akin to suggesting that depression can be cured by the recommended 19th century treatment of bleeding.

In fact the evidence presented was to the contrary - her diet consisted of lettuce, vegetables and rice.

That’s a friggin’ Tui ad Brenden…….or a damn lot of rice.

  • brendensheehan

    An Ad like this kate?

obesity has everything to do with diet – yeah right!

  • Whaleoil

Brenden, you are a fucking fool, coming on here again. You can only lose because you cannot control your temper just like Folobese couldn’t control feeding herself.

You are such a dumb fuck you can’t catch obesity it isn’t a disease it comes from poor habits. Folobese didn’t come into this world 200kgs she ate herself to it.

That you still fail to attribute the blame to the person who is really to blame, Folobese herself shows how completely fucked in the head you are.

You threatened me with a beating from da Boyz but then never showed, probably because you saw the slight gradient up to my house and just knew you would have another death on your hands from the Biggest one.

When I said Immense I meant in the same weight as a baby elephant sense you know like Folobese.

You bring up my depression like I am supposed to be ashamed of it, far from it I willingly talk about it and I know exactly who is to blame and that is me.

You are typical mad as a snake socialist that blames everyone but themselves for shit happening. Until you face up to the fact that Folobese stuffed her face until she became 200 kgs and it sure as hell wasn’t rice, lettuce and mung beans then you are dead set fucked in the head. Her son Kashin, I just bet he caught obesity too huh…better watch that diet of lettuce and rice….hey that”s what elephants eat.

    Dick head.

  • barnsleybill

How is the guilt thing working out for you Brenden? Apologised for not helping before she was dead yet mate?

Trying to build a political career off the back of a corpse is one of the more disgusting examples of venal self interest we have seen for many years over here. Tell me is it a typical Australian left wingers method for advancement or did you thunk it up all by yourself?

We can only hope you do not make the top 40 on the list.

  • South 10

I can believe the Fololobese Monster only ate rice and mung beans, the only problem is that it probably took most of the output of the Irrawaddy delta to feed it.

Can I ask what evidence was produced to prove the Fololobese Monster ate nothing but mung beans and rice? Did you find an archaeologist who could provide analysis of the monster turds it laid in the Muliaga family’s back garden?
