Rodney Hide calls for Anti-Corruption Commission

This blog has repeatedly called for the urgent establishment of an Anti-Corruption Commission and finally a politician has listened.

Yesterday Rodney Hide called for the establishment of such a commission.

That’s why I am calling today for a special Anti-Corruption Commission to be established to investigate Winston Peters and New Zealand First. We must wipe this stain from our political landscape. We must get to the bottom of the secret funding deals so long denied, for which explanations have been promised but never given.

Hear, Hear!

Great idea–provided the Commission’s scope is wider than merely W.Peters.
Such a commission should very wide-ranging terms of reference to allow it to investigate corruption within Labour as well.
But of course, that’ll never happen because other parties most likely have plenty to hide too.
