The latest Roy Morgan poll provides a little relief for Phil Goff as the stress of approaching Bill English’s record low has been showing. National are still a country mile in front though so this little bounce may well be a dead cat bounce.
National Party 54.5% (down 1.5%)
Maori Party 2% (down 1.5%)
ACT NZ 2.5% (up 1%)
United Future 0.5% (unchanged)
Labour Party 29% (up 3%)
Greens 8% (down 0.5)
NZ First 2% (down 0.5%)
The Progressive Party 0.5% (up 0.5%)
Others 1.0% (down 0.5%).
67.5% (down 1.5%) New Zealand is ‘heading in the right direction’
20% (up 1.5%) that say New Zealand is ‘heading in the wrong direction.’
