Labour sinks under 30%

The latest Roy Morgan poll is out and National is up and Labour is sinking faster than the Titanic.

National Party 56.5% (up 3%)
Maori Party 1.5% (down 0.5%)
ACT NZ 1.5% (up 0.5 %)
United Future 0.5% (unchanged)

Labour Party 29.5% (down 3%)
Greens 8% (down 0.5%)
NZ First 1.5% (down 0.5%)
Progressive Party 0.5% (up 0.5%)
Others 0.5% (up 0.5%).

At this rate Phil Goff will be approaching the record low set by Bill “20.9%” English in just two months.

In other related news the BBQ Factory is having a massive spring madness clearance sale. Conveniently tey have a store in Henderson which would be reasonably close for David Cunliffe if he actually lived in his electorate and another store located in Lower Hutt which should be helpful for Trevor.

Well this is clear and irrefutable proof that labour gets less and less relevant as each day passes. If Goofy is still leader at the next election their popularity will be in single figures you watch, they'll never hold the key again….

  • Monty

That must make the left winch a fair bit – and 30% is quite a Psychological barrier that thaey have gone below. the trend is all bad for them. And what is better is that National is not far away from literally being twice as popular

hmmm – where to from here for Labour?

  • The Gantt Guy

A combination of a moron for a leader, and a completely split vote – the lunatic left have gone with the Watermelon Party, the Maoris are over with the Apartheid Party and the moderates are with NZ’s current centre-left government. I don’t think Cun(t)liffe (or anyone else for that matter) taking over as Leader will make any difference at the moment anyway – with JK going out of his way to be everyone’s mate!

  • Sinner

where to from here for Labour?

    Hopefully – to jail!

Between a corruption inquiry, and a new electoral system, we should never have labour or the unions near government again
Want to improve NZ's productivity? That's where to start!
