The SpiritGreens

While looking through the Greens website for anything that could remotely be called an achievement by Sue Bradford I came acorss an interesting page.

The SpiritGreens – for Greens of faith.

Including pagans, witches and wiccans. Well one witch just left, thank the Lord.

Although probably the majority of SpiritGreens are Christians (including Catholic and most denominations), we also have some interested in aspects of other Maori beliefs, Universalists, Buddhists, Quakers, Hindus, Pagans, Witches, Wiccans and others. We have two Anglican priests, two Methodist ministers and theologians. Many of us have had convoluted spiritual paths, some still seek one, but all of us appear to see our beliefs as inextricably intertwined with Green politics.

I can see it now – a Minister for Black Magic, and an interdepartmental taskforce to help people worship at a pile of chicken bones.

Apart from face-to-face meetings when possible, we communicate mainly via the e-list.

Or maybe seances.

If you have any questions, or to join the the SpiritGreens e-list, please e-mail both co-convenors:

Just telepathically tell them to fuck off.

Ding Dong the Witch is Dead

So Sue Bradford the woman who was going to save all the kiddies of New Zealand has decided to bolt, no doubt to some cushy government funded lobby organisation.

Her legacy to New Zealand is one of acrimony, death and injury. I will not be sorry to see the end of this meddling communist bitch. there should be a wall at parliament called the Bradford Wall of Shame that lists every child that her meddling law failed to protect.

How fat is Pork Chop?

Dawn French fat is how fat.

Plus we have (finally) a photo of the ridiculous beanie with the pom-pom on top of the Porker. What on earth was she thinking?

I was thinking that the trotters were going to have trouble pressing those tiny keys.

Chity Vhision's shameless pandering to Maori

Typical. Give the left a pathetic non-issue involving the shameless pandering of ethnic minorities, and they’ll warmly embrace it.

Chity Vhision, the loony left brigade on Auckland’s council have now asked for Wanganui Ave in plutey Herne Bay to be renamed with an “H”, following the daft decision of the Geographical Board to stick an “H” in the town of Wanganui’s name.

But here’s the ticklish bit – isn’t it interesting that Chity Vhision’s Roger Kilmister will wait to change the name until Len Brown is hopefully the Mayor of the new Auckland.

Firstly – Kilmister will be waiting forever for this, and secondly, I don’t think its helpful for Len Brown’s to be painted as the shameless panderer of all things Maori. That kiss from Chity Vhision is likely to be a kiss of death, and I doubt Chity Vhision will win many votes from this either..

John Banks sensibly suggested polling the local residents of Wanganui Ave to see what they think. I wonder if this occurred to Chity Vhision?

What next for renaming?  Remu-Wera is the technically correct historical spelling for the old bastion of Remuera. Will Chity Vhision be consistent and want Len Brown to change that name too?

The strange world of the Maori Stop Smoking Industry

Today I received via the tipline an anonymous mail. This is what it contained.

Subject: [NZTAN ] Awesome Stuff

I just want to mihi out to Te Reo Marama and Hone Harawira for spearheading the opportunity for the tobacco companies to appear before a select committee.  ”To bring them out from the shadows” as Hone put it.  Getting
them lined up like ducks is a milestone.

If there was ever a question over the effectiveness and leadership of Te Reo Marama in Maori tobacco control, it should end here.

TRM should be acknowldged towards contributing towards making this happen, (although you would never hear it from them.)

Dispite[sic] being the first (and only) SF/AK organisation to have their funding abruptly cut, TRM still relentlessly  forges ahead advocating, advising MP’s, responding to media and continues to fight the good fight.

Ka mau te wehi! awesome stuff

For those of you who don’t know NZTAN is the New Zealand Tobacco Control Action Network, which are a bunch of militant and well funded anti-smoking health nazis. When I say well funded I mean very well funded particularly in the area of Maori stop smoking funding and in particular a nasty little group called Te Reo Marama.

Te Reo Marama is a small outfit run by Shane Kawenata Bradbrook. This guy would appear from documents that arrived in the post today to be a serial maori trougher. One example of many which I will have to outline in a series of posts so huge is the amount of information that has arrived courtesy of an OIA is the $77,000 spent on overseas travel in one calendar year…..on Maori Health!….Overseas travel….something isn’t right.

The word has it an the email above confirms that there are serious questions being raised about Te Reo Marama andits funding arrangments from MinHealth that it has had its funding cut off pending an investigation.

From the email above and also from comments on my previous blog post about Maori and smoking it seems that Shane Kawenata Bradbrook has a nasty little network of similar maori troughers deeply embeded in DHB’s and MinHealth who seem to want to protect him.

Is it just a coincidence that the very week that Te Reo Marama has its funding arrangements under the microscope Hone Harawira comes out punching and this email turns up on the NZTAN mail-lists? Surely its just coincidence or is Shane Kawenata Bradbrook still running (in a nice new green MG convertible like this one) around skiting to all who will listen that he “can’t be touched because he has the Maori Party in his back pocket”. A quick call to Pita and Tari should be able to confirm or deny that tomorrow.

And why is Steve (Tipene) Kenny, Health Advisor – Maori – Pasifika  Regional Public Health a the Hutt Valley DHB lobbying so hard in support of Shane Kawenata Bradbrook and Te Reo Marama? Is it because Steve (Tipene) Kenny knows of a little bit of double dipping going on?

From the documents I have received so far this may well be the tip of the iceberg. There is more to come on this story I can promise you. I just have to scan about 500 documents.

Mad Mayor loses the plot at Council meeting

Clown of Campbell's Bay reading Gotcha!

The one-eyed Mad Mayor of North Shore and the Clown of Campbells Bay must have had a few tipples too many before last night’s council meeting because from all accounts that have poured into the tipline he completely lost the plot at last night’s council meeting.

If my information is correct it appears that the One-eyed, mad Mayor at one stage may have threatened a journalist for the North Shore Times suggesting that if she reported his antics then her job was on the line. This was then challenged by another councillor who was then threatened by the one-eyed Mad Mayor with expulsion from the meeting.

What this blogger wants to know is if these reports are true? Surely there must be something that could be done to bring such antics into the clear light of day so that people of the North Shore can see what their mad Mayor, the Clown of Campbells Bay, Andrew Williams is up to.

Labour corruption laid bare

There is an article today in the DomPost by David Hargreaves ostensibly about business maestro Tony Gibbs. But buried in the deep depths of the article is further evidence of Labour’s corruption -

Despite his abrasiveness, Mr Gibbs is hugely respected. Former Labour Party president Mike Williams has dealt with Mr Gibbs for several years, including when Mr Gibbs was attempting to defeat the tax legislation being promoted by the Labour-led government. “He put up a hell of a fight and he won. He convinced me that it was unfair and, to be honest with you, I lobbied for him – it was unfair.

Mr Williams said that, among the people he dealt with while Labour president, Mr Gibbs “really stood out as . . . a top New Zealand businessman, if not the top New Zealand businessman – and he’s an all-round lovely bloke”.

“Even people who he’s bested, beaten in business scraps, speak highly of his integrity. I regard him as something of a personal mentor and a personal friend.”

What the fuck! The President of the Labour Party was  lobbying for a  foreign-listed company, Guinness Peat Group, to get favourable tax treatment from Michael Cullen?

This is an outrage. If the President of the National party said something similar the paid lap-bloggers of the Standard and other lefty troll farms would be rightly calling this corruption of the highest order. Make no mistake about it this is corruption and yet another reason why there should immediately be established an Independent Commission Against Corruption to protect us against these sorts of dodgy dealings.

What I want to know is why the story was even about Tony Gibbs after Mike Williams dropped that bomb-shell? The repeater should have been on Williams like flies on shit asking what other policies were for sale or change by foreign owned companies? Who else had Mike “Fat Tony” Williams lobbied for? Did he charge for that lobbying? What were his fees? Were there any other policy concessions and what was the quid pro quo for those concessions?

Labour really were a mafia styled organisation in the pay of big business.
