A fool and his money are easily parted

Dick Hubbard the failed leftist maor dumped ignominiously by voters at the last local body election in favour of John Banks has decided he wants to make a comeback.

But not as mayor. He has already endorsed Len Brown and so wants to stand in whatever ward encompasses Hobson.

The man is obviously as bad at math as he is at making cereal. In the last local body elections Dick Hubbard could only garner 4666 votes in Hobson ward when he stood for mayor. By way of comparison Aaron Bhatnagar got 8157 votes, Ken Baguley won 7514 votes and Paul Goldsmith won 7233 votes. Even erstwhile councillors Richard Simpson and Christine Caughey would have kicked his arse.

I can imagine his campaign slogan now – “Tick The Dick”

    How come Bhatman got the most votes in Hobson, but when the plumb jobs were given out Goldsmith and Baguley got first dibbs. yet they hadnt been near the Council chamber before the election. Aarron had been hiding behind Banks skirts for many years

      Hiding? Aaron had been around for a very long time, and was a prominent local blogger. And he worked much harder then everyone else. It just paid off this time, when the lefties were sick of Hubbard and didn't get out to vote for him.

    Gawd that Hubbard is a dick. Len Brown must have suffered some serious cognitive issues after those multiple heart operations to make Hubbard and Sue Bradford his team players.

    Whose next for Team Brown? Maybe they'll drag Judith Tizard in as well.
