But does she have a moustache?

Paul Henry is fabulous television, it is refreshing to have someone who essentially has a form of Tourettes Syndrome as a Television presenter.

He says whatever pops into his head with not a care in the world. Fabulous. He should have his own show where he gets to mock everyone all the time.

This time it is the ugly plain Susan Boyle he has offended and about 40 callers who had nothing better to do.

Susan BoyleReading from a magazine article, he laughed as he described how she was “starved of oxygen” at birth and suffered an intellectual disability.

“Here’s the really interesting revelation: she is in fact retarded …

“And if you look at her carefully, you can make it out,” he told viewers. He also made fun of the fact she was “ritualistically beaten” at school.

Lucky he didn’t suggest she was also a “lady with a moustache”, well she is, have you looked closely, there is definitely one there.

I can see the T-shirts now.

Actually I think  Paul Henry has an intellectual disability too, apart from his obvious Tourette’s, he is smarter, way smarter than the average TV viewer.

    Love that man! (Henry)

If Susan Boyle has disabilities it is all the more reason to admire her.

Her first appearance on Britains Got Talent show was so well received that even Paul would have to admit that she will be remembered long after he is off screen.

Paul Henry reminds me of the character played by Matt Dillion in There's something about Mary. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Paul owns that movie and has spent many a night in surfing dodgy web sites while the movie's playing in the background.

Paul Henry shows us just how pervasive political correctness is.. He says exactly what he thinks…and people find this amazing , refreshing , funny because so few others are saying exactly what they think.

Paul Henry demonstrates his immaturity and arrested development when he speaks this way ( I am assuming without thinking! ) His seeking of approval from the team and crew around him when he makes these comments is attention seeking and child like and was embarassing to watch when he so rudely commented on his Greenpeace guest. I no longer watch his programme. While political correctness can be too inhibiting this should not be confused with rudeness and unnecessary, unkind, irrelevant comments that detract from the topic.

What's sad is that many of the NZ public think it's "refreshing" to watch a bully take cheap shots at people who don't have the means to defend themselves against this mean little man with a microphone in front of his mouth too many hours/week. Yeah, real funny that she suffered from oxygen deprivation at birth, Paul Henry, real funny. Oh, and let me also say that nobody had to put me up to this; I'm just (to quote you) "saying what's on my mind".

Instead of being an arsehole to the easy targets why doesn't Paul grow some balls and use his position to name the name-suppressed enterainer? He bullies the easy targets but won't go after the big guys… what a sissy

    • Tired Farmer

      Well said Jacob!

I've just been to a comedy gig where Steve Wrigley was performing and he had the audience cracking up about Paul Henry. He reckons Paul Henry is the type of guy that if he were in a car driving past an amputee he would say something like,`oh look at her, she's all stumpy and shit and she's got a moustache, what a retard.'

I do not think that rudeness equals wit or intelligence just like I do not equate Political correctness with intelligence or politeness.
He may be a change from the political correctness but I am not impressed by what he has to say.
If that behaviour is to be cheered for then every prick who points at a lady passing and yells lard arse! is a refreshing wit!
