Maori party sells out forest owners for blankets and beads

As reported here exclusively yesterday at Whaleoil the Maori Party and their elite maoritocracy backers of the chosen five iwi have sold out other Maori, Pakeha and other forest owners for what really amounts to blankets and beads.

They have agreed to support the National party and their unelected advisory group gets a state-funded junket to Copenhagen all for a measly $25 million. Meanwhile the $2 billion worth of carbon credit assets/land value are instantly thrown away and the biggest devastation to New Zealand’s economy will be rushed though under urgency into law before Friday.

I am ashamed to be a member of the National Party. National and the Maori Party have destroyed nearly $4 billion dollars in wealth and knobbled the competitiveness of the country in one go. It is therefore appropriate that on this evil day when the agreement was reached to kill the New Zealand economy John Key was wearing a pink tie. The irony was certainly not lost on me.

If there are any National MPs with any spine they will cross the floor over this deal, and vote down this law. It is undemocratic, it is wrong and it is based upon flawed and demonstrably false science and worse it will destroy our economy.

It makes me fucking wild. There is no way im going to give my vote to national again (unless Smith the Wanker and all other global warmer tosers in National just fuck off)
Looks like Rodney will do ok from me.

  • baxter

Not much I can add except I agree with every word you have stated on the subject.

  • Adolf Fiinkensein

I think we will see a slump for National in the polls and a wave of support for ACT. Maybe that's what National is counting on.

  • The Gantt Guy

Adolf, I’m not sure the slump in the polls will materialise until power bills increase by 40% (or more). But I hope you’re right. I hope Key is making a cunning play here to move voter preference to ACT and thus have a strong centre-right coalition next time around (ensuring he doesn’t have to play nice with the tangata waka racism party or the watermelons). Sadly, I don’t think he has that machiavellian streak.

National lost my vote after John Key's refusal to listen over the anti smacking shit, this just cements things for me.

  • Brian Smaller

    Ditto. They lost my vote.

"As part of today's deal the Iwi Leadership Group nominated Roger Pikia and Chris Karamea Insley to go to Copenhagen as part of New Zealand's official delegation. Dr Smith said he made "no apology" for the decision, saying the two men had relevant experience and as indigenous people "

What are these two Maori going to do besides drinking dry the hotel's mini-bar?
On this deal alone, the coward National Party deserves to lose the next election.

and if the sentiment here is reflective, they deservedly will.

    • Sinner

Taking day trips to Legoland, I guess

  • Michaels

enkter, what are the options? Labour??
National still need to win the next election as we need them, however just maybe ACT will have a bigger say.

  • petal

I think once Key's party ISN'T 60% in the polls, he may actually get the idea that the majority disagrees with him. Until then, it's a ticket to anythinggoes.

I detest this whole EFT business, but to think that Jo Blo 'gets it', you're wrong.

People like us, who inform ourselves and follow the issues of the day do not actually get to decide who is in Government.

    Sucks eh?

    • Lucy

      Yep Petal is does.

  • Lucy

National are counting on the fact that we wont want Labour back and they are right. How ever a lot can happen in two years and someone, somewhere just might come up with an alternative to both National and Labour besides/as well as ACT. I live in hope. I only know that they have lost my vote and it would take a hell of a lot (such as Don Brash back in charge) for me to even think of voting for them again.

This isn't what the people of NZ voted for one short year ago. It shows an absolute disregard for both the people of NZ and the principles of our democracy. (Whatever that is these days!)

  • Peter Johns

Why are we sending those black mother fuckers to Copenhagen for?

  • Michaels

Maybe oneday we will really stand up like France does and his and his people out of office by force….. I feel this coming.

Today will go down as the day nationals poll rating will start to plummet..Only Act and Rodney hide have come out with out any egg on there face or moko……….I am wondering why I even voted for national and why the sky looks blue…………………..

  • http://oswaldbastable.blogspot.com/ Oswald Bastable

    Told you so.

  • http://intensedebate.com/people/Chiefsfan73 Chiefsfan73

F@#kers. No Blue vote here either. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. You duped me into voting for you (i always haveas I hate the left) on the premise you would revert the rorting and corruption. You promised us one law for all and a whole lot more. Then you have duped the mindless with the ETS and robbed from hard working kiwi's.
F@#k you John Key, F@#k you Nick Smith.

"I am ashamed to be a member of the National Party."

You could always resign. That would cause a few ructions.

  • Jman

I heard Nick Smith on the radio today, and crikey I could have been listening to Al Gore the way he was carrying on about the leaked emails being the work of conspiracy theorists. I can't believe that I gave my party vote to a party that contains someone like him.

  • Jamie

ACT won't and can't help. I have emailed Rodney about this mess but there won't be a reply. Next election I will either abstain from voting or vote for an extremist party with no chance of winning. In the last election not only did I give National my electorate vote, but I pounded the pavement delivering pamphlets for ACT. If Rodney doesn't threaten to dissolve the coalition over the ETS I won't be voting for them again.

    • Snitch

Dissolving the coalition would mean you would have no ACT party to vote for. Think about it dickwad.

Lets not forget what the Wall Street Journal said -
"To the annals of global warming lunacy, add this gem from New Zealand: According to [the Key Government, Nick Smith and] a parliamentary committee, Kiwis should accept lower standards of living to protect the national image abroad.”
    – ‘Kiwi Carbon Haze,’ Wall Street Journal, September 7, 2009

I humby apologise for being from Nelson and voting for Nick Smith.

    It will NEVER happen again.

  • erikter

I am ashamed to be a member of the National Party. National and the Maori Party have destroyed nearly $4 billion dollars in wealth and knobbled the competitiveness of the country in one go.

Whale, resign and let the weak National Party know the extent of your disappointment.

    Actions speak louder than words.
