Look at these Tenders for MoE. Complete and utter feel good, airy-fairy, mumbo-jumbo politically correct bullshit.

Hell when i went to school the “smart tools” used by the teachers to better support student achievement, ie paying attention, were a variety of canes kept in the Deans room on the A Floor. The good teachers let you go and select your own cane, the arseholes chose for themselves and trust me there is an art in choosing canes that are about to wallop your arse.

    Harpoon it is not the Tender process that is in question it is the idiotic things that govt departments have put out to Tender, particularly from 1999 to 2008 that Whaleoil is on about.

    By the way I always thought a well directed piece of chalk was the first means of bringing wandering attention back in the class room.

    "to better support" is a split infinitive and ugly English to boot!

    I agree with Whale. The substance of the topics being placed for tender is absurd. The split infinitive neatly portrays the standard of English ability in the MOE. Ask the staff there about apostrophes!

    So you folk agree with Cameron that the Ministry of Education:
    (a) should NOT seek to improve student’s grades.
    (b) has no business helping all schools improve education technique that work for Maori
