  1. If the world is warming catastrophically and the sea levels rising why is the government “investing” in home insulation and not levee technologies to hold the seas back?
  2. If the goal of Copenhagen is to try and stop Global Warming and save the little countries of the Pacific why are they being told to shut up and sit in the corner while the big boys organise the biggest fraud in History?
  3. So Copenhagen isn’t about saving the Maldives and Tuvalu, it is all about money?
  4. Does anyone other than Mann, et al still believe in Global Warming and the science is settled?
  5. A child killing, wife raping, bashing and threatening to kill monster is out on bail, and his lawyer is calling for the blogger who named him to be arrested and put in prison?
  6. Did the flea lawyer really think this through before pissing of The Whale?
  7. Is the flea lawyer really the thugs agent and is going for global exposure?

    RE AGW: it now looks very likely that Australia will go to the polls, and that the pivotal issue will be their ETS. Thus the whole rort and scam will be subject to international scrutiny. A side discussion will be nuclear energy for power generation in OZ. All up, the chance for a purge of the green/left.

    Yep I reckon the science is settled.
    Why? Because I have read and understood the science. Lots of it too.
    The people who say it isn’t settled do not know the first thing about it. It is really hard to find a “denier” who is actually at a level to debate. It’s trying to like argue the non-existence of Jesus with a Christadelphian. You just wouldn’t bother.

    And the home insulation is to reduce the need for energy so that we can meet targets so that we can morally get others to agree to targets so that we can hold back the warming so the seas don’t rise. Home insulation is cheap. Massive engineering works to counteract sea level rises won’t be at all affordable once they can become necessary. But still if you think the home insulation scheme was about energy conservation rather than preventing a bit of unemployment in the building industry once the finance industry had choked, killing the building industry then you’d be naive.

    What science are you reading? I haven’t come across any ACTUAL science that proves anything…..I have how ever seen a SHITLOAD evidence that casts what you refer to as ‘science’ in a rather bad light….

    You may want to dig in to your research a little deeper there mate…….seriously…..anyone in their right mind that actually bothers to do a little more than read the paper, listen to TV news, look at Wiki’s or read real climate etc would not write what you did in the above comment.

    If you actually look openly into this CC thing in any depth you’d likely figure out that ‘deniers’ have been trying to get debate on this topic for years and the people that say and write the stuff that you site, openly refuse without question….the standard line is the one you trolley out without even thinking about how hypocritical the statement is….’the science is settled….there is no debate’

    Lets have a debate! you lobby your guys Al baby, mann et al etc etc and lets get them to Debate PROPERLY, no political talking points, just science.

    I can tell you now, I don’t think it will happen and the reason is this: every debating point to come out of your side of the argument is political…the science has been spun, so is by definition not science anymore. When ever scientific questions are raised by people concerned, they are met with your line (actually I think Al ’2 million degrees’ Gore has used it the most).

    Now ask yourself why? If you really do that and look at it with an open mind, you may be surprised with the answers you come up with…..There really are only a few CREDIBLE scenarios. If you find yourself not wanting to question the argument, I’d like to quote back to you something you said ‘It’s trying to like argue the non-existence of Jesus with a Christadelphian.’

    Now for a couple of tips:

    Remember…..your side are the ones screaming ‘the science is settled’ instead of just answering questions
    That kind of makes your argument exactly right if you were to turn it on it’s head and point it at the other side….

    17. Why did he delegate to the nutter Nick Smith the awesome responsibility of drafting (and insisting) ETS is passed by Parliament, even at the cost of bribing the Maori Party?

    I’d add to that Mat, that if there were to be an honest scientific debate between both sides and it turns out that the numbers haven’t been fiddled and there is a major problem caused by CO2, I would welcome that finding and accept it unequivocally.

    ETS, global governance is still a separate argument though and I still believe it to be a shithouse idea that will in no way help the situation if it does exist….It’s never worked in the past (please don’t use the LA clean air act as an example, CO2 is a completely different beast to sulfur dioxide etc as we breath it out and trees live of it etc etc)

    Even if mmCO2 is causing the globe to warm (notice the open mind) The schemes put forward at Copenhagen will do NOTHING to change things no matter how they try and spin it…all they will do is make rich people richer and poor people poorer (this historically has meant MORE pollution and exploding populations…the opposite of what the scheme is designed to do).

    If you don’t agree with me, maybe you might agree with people like Jim Hansen (no not the muppets, but his office IS in the same building as the restaurant from Seinfeld). In the 80′s he predicted his building would have water lapping around the ground floor and he chains him self to coal fired power plants as a hobby when he’s not creating computer generated predictions of climate catastrophe, BUT he still thinks Cap and Trade is a joke….
