Told Ya So

No one would listen to me, they were all outraged, some demanded his resignation, some said the party would dump him. I said precisely nothing would happen.

Here is what will happen. Nothing. There is not one thing anyone can do about Hone Harawira, he is an electorate MP and all the bros up north will be hanging with the gang signs saying “good on ya bro”. That is the barefaced, unadulterated politics of the situation and all the huffing and puffing by people on their high horses will not change that situation one single bit.

And so it came to pass. Honest Hone will stay with the Maori party and nothing but a slap on the wrist with a wet copy of the treaty for his honesty.

    I also predict nothing will come of Margaret Beazleys findings (According to Cactus most of the lawyers involved are PI, Maori or Asian. The Maori party will do a deal so nothing will happen to PI or Maori )
