A provocative comment?

Clare Curran deleted a comment of mine on Red Alert, clearly she has decided she doesn’t want to win the Whaleoil MP of the Month award.

Just a few posts ago she was all the bastion of free speech. Now she deletes a comment because it is provocative. The post I commented on was on by Trevor “Tiger” Mallard whinging:

Why oh why am I in Wellington  for the weekend.

Rain is driving in from the south for the second day in a row.

And my totally provocative comment was?

Poor old Labour, trying to suppress the truth and write their own history. A little bit like the Greens at the moment.

    I rarely ever visit Red Alert for the fact is they're into censorship. This is typical of pinko behaviour. I've only ever made two posts and both were censored. Well fuck em, I'm not interested in their bullshit.

    I have just been looking at her blog. I don't think that Clare understands what a blog is about. Firstly, you were right with your comment and there was nothing wrong with it. Should the MP not be talking up his electorate?

    Secondly, blogs allow a blogger to create a post which is largely of their own view. It could be write or it could be wrong. This post will be moderated by a peer based system. "Peer Reviewers" will review the post and then they may add comments which are either for or against the original post.

    I run the principle that every comment is accepted unless it is completely off topic or some sort of a perversion.

    If Clare understood blogging principles, she would see a comment or a link from your blog as being a fantastic way of getting people to read her views on things.

      Peer Reviewers isn’t that’s what the IPCC have for the Global Warming religion, and they still get it wrong.

    At least your comments are in moderation, mine don't show up at all. Ever since I posted asking whether Phil Goff still owned and rented out his apartment in Wellington while claiming another apartment from Parliamentary Services or has he sold it like he said he would. Trevor banned me for a month but conveniently forgot to reinstate my posting rights. So much for transparency considering the tirade of abuse against Bill English.

      Similar thing happened to me…. I have emailed Trevor to let me comment again but he has not. What a waste of taxpayers money Red Alert has turned out to be!

    Red Blurt is a preschool class for Clear and the Duck to monitor, such fun for the Potato person who is teacher's pet.
    Socialist control, eliminate those with a different view by banning them. Statistics, it would be interesting to find out which NZ blog has banned the most v comments.

    As ive told you Whale in a previous post the Lefties hate your guts big time.I fail to see why you are still surprised by their behavior.Their veiw of the world is that everyone should be moderate and forgiving except if you are on their side,then all bets are off and they are just plain nasty.The few posts I have put on Substandard I have been called a moron, stupid a fuckwit and retard.Not that I give a shit.

    It’s good to see Clare Curran getting her ass wiped at Red Alert over her stand on republicanism it will be fun watching her and her rent a crowd feature on TV One & TV3 BBC News and other worldwide news agencies. This protest won’t go down well with the general public in New Zealand and overseas viewers. It shows up labour for what it is, a Party of State control.

    And FYI free speech doesn't extend to internet blog sites, they're essentially private spaces where the sites owner has the right to filter and delete comments as he/she sees fit – you're perfectly welcome to do the same with this comment.

      I couldn't care less if people are sick of me, they don't have to read my site or comment.

    Join the rest of us Whale. Two three month bans since September. The first possibly deserved but still wouldn't have happened anywhere else I frequent. The latest for just trying to debate an issue – no abuse, no swear words and – no respect by Mallard.

    Have you noticed that what happens to you and I at Red Alert doesn't happen to Farrar?

    I don't get it. The people at Red Alert are socialists. They cannot ever win in an open and free market of ideas. Suppression of information and debate is their life blood.

    Therefore Red Alert can never be a real blog. Its a Gobelleian propaganda outlet run by a clique of power obsessed leftists who absolutely have to have control. Not only of information but over every facet of our lives.

    (That said, where's National's free market free ideas blog where National politicians engage with the public?? The blithering idiots are too inarticulate and politically stunted to have one.)
