I always knew the environmental stuff was bad for you.

I remember when I lived in Wellington, Mrs Whale and I went to a fellow teachers house for a bbq. It was a fricken nightmare, because this little dweeb, and I do mean a dweeb, was right into his Global Warming scare-mongering.

I, of course, made his and the other drop-kick teachers miserable by pointing out, as he toured us around the house he had just finished building “environmentally”.

  • Concrete pad – He had no idea how cement was made.
  • The Garage – no cars they were evil, but he forgot the bike was made of steel (you need carbon to make steel), the aluminium (bauxite doesn’t lie around waiting to be picked up), the Chrome mudguards (same as bauxite), the electro-plating (lead, acids, and cyanides), the synthetic rubber hand grips and tires (real bummer how they make that shit)
  • The Kauri Front Door, that was ok I was told because it was Fijian Kauri…oh right their trees don’t matter as much as ours.
  • and so on…it was quite fun educating stupid green wankers.

I, of course, don’t give a flying fuck where anything comes from or where it goes afterwards. The earths resources were given to us to use until exhaustion.

Now this is where this story is supposed to go. As is usual for green fools they “like” to wipe their arses on that brown, untreated, fucking sandpaper they call toilet paper. WRONG, just WRONG. I have always known it was wrong. everyone was sniggering after a visit to the bog. That was taking environmentalism just way to far.

Finally I have proof just how wrong it is. There are apparently serious health risks from using cheap skid paper.

Don't buy cheap, nasty toilet paper, there are bad health risks

Why is this toilet paper like John Wayne?

Because it’s rough, it’s tough and it don’t take no shit!”

Gidday Whale – i am anti the global warming scaremongering – and it must have been funny on the night of the barbecue. I also agree with your views on certain types of educationalists (not all – just some).

Can you explain to me (if you dont mind) why you believe earths resources are given to us to use till exhaustion … this is a genuine question and im not taking a poke at the statement etc … im keen to know and understand. I dont know for sure that i agree with it – but id be keen to understand where you are coming from mate.

    Cheers

garry, far be it for me to speak for the whale, but here’s my take on it. Conservation of resources is a good thing. I mean, we don’t want to run out of trees, or food, or anything like that, do we? However, it’s a huge leap to go from there to the propositon that Co2 pumped into the atmosphere through human activity is causing the earth’s climate to change. It’s an even bigger leap to go from there to the proposition that there should be a Great Big Tax On Everything, which won’t stop the evil Co2 being pumped into the atmosphere, but will result in the greatest wealth redistribution in history. Those last 2 propositions are the ones that many people are calling BULLSHIT on.

HA HA HA…. Fuck Whale, you just never know who reads this shit.

    However…..

Why did I have to read all that “shit” about that poof Garry just to finally get to the point??
    Wipe on Garry, wipe on.

  • garry

gidday Michaels – sorry mate – can you sort of expand on your comments

    Cheers
    G

  • Michaels

    Garry……. You really need expansion???

    Well ok….

I had to read all that shit about you…. You being a dweeb, your concrete floor, your fucking bike, your front door and lets not forget about you being a DWEEB, just to get to the utmost imoprtant bit that the post was all about…..
And tell me Garry, how did you burn that said BBQ??? Thin air??

  • garry

Ok michaels – thanks for that mate … i needed you to expand on it because you appear to have misinterpreted the whole comment .. let me explain …

#1 I said and i reiterate i am NOT pro global warming – i am ANTI it – ie i believe global warming is bunkum

#2 I asked about the Whales statement because i am genuinely interested in that statement

So if you are somehow convolutedly imagining that i am the person he was referring to … sorry thats not true.

A polite enquiry would have saved you busting a blood vessel over something that isnt so.

Cheers mate and thanks again for the response – i greatly appreciated it

    G

  • Michaels

I am ever so pleased you cleared this up Garry, however 2 points…
#1. I never bust blood vessels while reading or commenting here

#2. The reason for my slight missjudgement was your comment….. “Gidday Whale — i am anti the global warming scaremongering”
The word “the” should have been an “a”

  • garry

I used the statement because the Whale had used the term that the person he was commenting on, was “right into his global warming scaremongering” … using the word “a” doesnt make it any clearer either.

No sweat mate … I didnt call you any names or insult you at all – so thats the main thing in my book.

You have a good turn of phrase – keep it up

    Cheers and thanks again

Garry, you asked and here is my answer. Genesis 1:26-29

26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, [b] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created man in his own image,
    in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

Really children. The real issue is the toilet paper.
People like Whale depend on being able to see the skid mark so they know when the job has been done properly. Brown collared paper makes the job much harder. Soft white paper also discourages your greenie host from reusing it.

  • garry

Gidday Whale – thanks for that i appreciate it.

I suspected that may be the premise you were referring to but was keen to ask the question.

I personally agree that we are an integral part of the environment and that the green movement has attempted to move us outside of that ecosystem as some sort of all-knowing-what-is-best for you mentality. What they propose in my view – will disconnect us from our part that we have to play. The aboriginals of Aussie (as i understand it) regularly set huge fires – these are now acknowledged to be a source of regeneration and rebirth of the land. Birth / death / renewal. Personally i think the earth renews itself as long as we dont do too many dumb things.

I am not Christian – but used to be – i know the scripture (to a degree) and know those passages and have no great disagreement with the general principle. The old testament typological examples of the tabernacle in the wilderness are in my view a complete symbology of the cosmos and of a managed approach to life and balance (but thats another subject).

Cheers for that Mr Whale -

Do any of you ever wonder how WO managed to make it to his 40′s without me killing him?
That was the first and last work related BBQ I was ever invited to.The guy in question had a crush on me and in fact contacted me via facebook last year hoping to renew the friendship.
Luckily there were no other teachers there. WO’s memory is faulty. It was a teacher’s house yes but the other guests were members of his Spanish language class that he and his wife were attending as a hobby.
They all seemed very puzzled as to why they had been invited I remember, but had been unable to say no. Unfortunately because they were not actually friends a few of them enjoyed WO mocking the hell out of our host.
when my friend gave me the grand tour of his brand new home on my own I was fine until he took me to his bedroom and opened his wardrobe to show me his latest work jacket. He proudly told me that it had cost him $3 at the Op shop. Now I am frugal with money and can negotiate a mean deal on a property but the $3 jacket would not be something that I would brag about. He really was an unusual man.

  • garry

And it wasnt ME spanishbride … it wasnt me. Honest … it wasnt me – i dont use toilet paper that tears a second fundamental orifice in ones nether regions…

  • Titan-Uranus

Just curious ,but why would you use some ridiculous bronze age religious shit to justify trashing planet?

So god did`nt tell you he wanted you to be wealthy like he told Brian Tamaki?
Dare I suggest you burn your fucking bible and get a dose of reality.

  • garry

titan – can i give you a viewpoint not necessarily sympathetic to – but understanding of .. the Whale.

I am the one who asked the man an outright question about a statement he made. The man made an honest and unequivocal unadulterated answer to that question without equivocation or any hint of dissimulation.

I wasnt trying to trap the Whale … i was keen to understand his viewpoint.

I no longer hold to the judeo-christian world view (i once did) – what i do recognise is that each belief holds at its core some truth (only in my opinion).

If you think about it – the viewpoint of understanding the need to “live” as humankind is a pragmatic response.

I dont believe we are trashing the planet – that is all Doctor Goebbels type of nonsense – some areas of defunct political systems are trashing the planet and some isolated Farmers in NZ (I dont want to swim in cowpoo thanks) .. North Korea / Communist China (would you buy milk powder from these people??/kazakhstan (oil in abundance and toxic waste to spare and on the list goes as i see it (only my opinion)

The statements of Genesis if looked at pragmatically may be painting a picture of managed and realistic economy.

I dont agree with all of it (i mean im not into smiting whole populations men women and children – the nazis didnt invent genocide by the way)

  • Mad Cow

Unfortunately the majority of the human race needs to use the Earths resources so Greenies can indulge themselves and live unproductive lives. Not that they are adverse to owning old inefficient cars that blow blue smoke out the back so they have something to put their bumper stickers on.

  • Tauhei Notts

    Angry of Mayfair;
Mr Sohan Singh, who had seen many cowboy movies, told me that one.
It was called John Wayne paper because it took no shit from Indians.
