Tell me again why we shouldn't have troops in Afghanistan

I really want Cut & Run Goff to explain to me why we shouldn’t have combat troops in Afghanistan. I really mean it. Tell me why we should leave Afghanistan to the Taleban. If you have the guts Phil, do it in the comments, I really want to know. While we are at it perhaps Metiria Turei and Russel Norman and even better Keith Locke could explain why we shouldn’t have even more troops in Afghanistan.

And I want Bomber and Idiot/Savant and the paid lap-bloggers at The Standard to tell me why we should cut & run and leave people to the Taleban. They won’t of course, because they have no understanding from their soft warm couches, their university offices and the office of Labour, the EPMU and especially parliament. They just heard somewhere that we need to “Give Peace a Chance”, they learned at university of Labour Party and Green brainwashing.

They follow the footsteps of Cut & Run Goff, the man who held hands with Yasser Arafat, the man who celebrated the end of the Vietnam War by flying a NVA flag off the cenotaph, with their Israel hating, their muelling and whinging about “Give Peace a Chance”

Well Fuck them hard with a great big Fucker thingy. Read this and tell me again why we should cut & run.

Bibi Aisha“When they cut off my nose and ears, I passed out,” 19-year-old Bibi Aisha of Afghanistan says with chilling candor.

Her beauty is still stunning and her confidence inspiring. It takes a moment for the barbaric act committed against her to register in your mind and sight.

Wearing her patterned scarf and with roughly painted nails she shares her story.

“It felt like there was cold water in my nose, I opened my eyes and I couldn’t even see because of all the blood,” she remembers.

It was an act of Taliban justice for the crime of shaming her husband’s family.

This story began when Aisha was just 8 years old.

Her father had promised her hand in marriage, along with that of her baby sister’s, to another family in a practice called “baad.”

“Baad” in Pashtunwali, the law of the Pashtuns, is a way to settle a dispute between rival families.

At 16, she was handed over to her husband’s father and 10 brothers, who she claims were all members of the Taliban in Oruzgan province. Aisha didn’t even meet her husband because he was off fighting in Pakistan.

“I spent two years with them and became a prisoner,” she says.

Bet they don’t even answer. Go on answer why we should cut & run and leave Afghanistan to the Taleban, even better why don’t you write to Bibi Aisha and explain that it is real sad that he had her nose and ears cut off and that she was enslaved but we don’t think we can win and the war is unjust, so just cope. Haven’t got it in you have you? Gutless Fuckers.

Tortured and abused, she couldn’t take it any longer and decided to run away. Two female neighbors promising to help took her to Kandahar province.

But this was just another act of deception.

When they arrived to Kandahar her female companions tried to sell Aisha to another man.

All three women were stopped by the police and imprisoned. Aisha was locked up because she was a runaway. And although running away is not a crime, in places throughout Afghanistan it is treated as one if you are a woman.

A three-year sentence was reduced to five months when President Hamid Karzai pardoned Aisha. But eventually her father-in-law found her and took her back home.

That was the first time she met her husband. He came home from Pakistan to take her to Taliban court for dishonoring his family and bringing them shame.

The court ruled that her nose and ears must be cut off. An act carried out by her husband in the mountains of Oruzgan where they left her to die.

But she survived.

How about now, got anything to say. This little girl has got more courage in her than the entire gutless peacenik, hippy, dak smoking losers who wail, “we can’t win, let’s cut and run”.

The Bibi Aisha’s of the world is why we fight. It is why I honour soldiers.

Cam. after I wiped the tears from my eyes,I had to reply, but i don’t know what to say.
There is so much to say re Waihopi etc, but so little can be said in regard to the barbarism of the muslim world.
I stand by my statements elsewhere in the blogosphere that we to are under threat from islam, and locke is a traitor.

  • chuck

This happening in Afghanistan is of course concern but we should be at least as much concerned about that sort of thing happening to Muslim girls hear in NZ,

Did anyone see the Sunday item last Sunday about forced marriage of underage Muslim girls? There are some in hiding here. If some is not done we will have “honour murders” like they have in the UK.

Our Minister of Justice refused to appear on the show but issued a statement to the effect that this sort of thing does not happen enough to be a problem.

Yes I saw this programme..girls as young as twelve being ”married”in mosques..at least one girl being forced by her parents to marry her rapist…Another striking thing about all of this was the complete disregard for our laws. It was also an immigration rort. They are bringing in old codgers from overseas to marry these young girls. When did immigration start recognizing these so called marriages? Some of these girls have four or five children by the time they are nineteen or twenty. No doubt people in the hospitals where they give birth are turning a blind eye. I have written previously about the preferential treatment muslim women are receiving in NZ’s maternity facilities. It was a former hospital chaplain who first brought this to my attention.
The programme showed child brides in AK and Hamilton but this is most likely happening all over the country. Why aren’t people being charged with the criminal offences they are committing or is there already one law for them , one law for us?
    Power’s response was pathetic.

I wonder if the NZ Army mission to Afghanistan will be renewed this year. if it is, there is a chance I will be going.

Gidday Whale – i agree with your sentiments – only thing i have a problem with is yet another police action guided by confused American foreign policy seemingly. Point i make is this is another conflict with one or one and a half arms tied behind your back. I dont want to help muslims – i want to encourage them to help themselves because we are urinating into a hurricane force wind fighting for them – and then their culture whips the rug from under our feet. I dont want to help muslims to live in NZ – i want to give them a clear message along with all other arrogant cultures … live to the norms established in this nation for generations – or bugger off back to your country and culture. Personal belief … we are heading for a major conflict a la WW2 fast and inexorably. Then – unfortunately – there wont be any choice for peaceniks – only major positive is that there will have to be developed a will to win and both arms/hands will finally be able to be deployed to the trigger. I dont want our young men and women dying for a culture that wont help itself on the basis of common humanity and commonsense – until such time as we can enter a conflict where these brutes can be given their ‘beans’ good and proper. At that time despite my age – i want a weapon and i’ll happily man the barricades. Watch the muslims, russians (and the Eastern bloc) and chinese and koreans both north and south very closely is my opinion.

Just an opinion – thoroughly agree with your sentiments Whale.
(and as a footnote i dont believe in 2012 / Nostradamus / OR armageddon and the anti-christ)

    Cheers

Heres a thought – introduction of compulsory military training up to a fairly high age range … men and women – and an obligation to respond if called upon to serve. Non-compliance leads to revoking of NZ citizenship – and no cultural mores are permitted – no veils, no turbans no this no that….

You would see a flood of immigrants and any remaining anglo-saxon banjo playing inbreds out of the country like you wouldnt believe. And good damn riddance.

Tell me – everyone in government is freaking about knives etc – how come sikhs are allowed to carry knives on their person. Anyone aware that female abuse is common not just among muslims – hindus in india have a well developed tradition for bride burning etc etc etc

    Cheers

I don’t know whether war in Afghanistan will help the situation for Afghan women, or for Muslim women more generally. It might be doing more harm than good by strengthening radical Islam against more moderate Islamic voices worldwide, but that’s an empirical question – I do agree that simple pacifism just avoids the hard choices and turns a blind eye. Most importantly, tolerance of cultural mistreatment of women/girls in our own country has to stop. Like theresaj, I was very disturbed by the Sunday item http://tvnz.co.nz/sunday-news/sunday-march-14-child-brides-3402971, and the government’s flaccid response. At the very least, we should be criminalising taking a minor out of the country for the purposes of under-age marriage, similar to the law against female circumcision. And enforcing our laws against abuse and underage marriage vigorously!

What a wonderful, courageous and beautiful woman Aisha is. Phil Goff, Metiria Turei, Russell Norman, Keith Locke and all those couch-sitting idealistic lefty dreamers down in Wellington and the Waihopai Trio, need to SHUT UP and get a reality check. The Taliban are evil and satanic. Thank goodness there are US organizations like the “Women for Women” refuge centres. Put your money where your mouth is Phil Goff, Metiria Turei, Russell Norman, Keith Locke, all those couch sitting idealistic lefty dreamers down in Wellington and the Waihopai Trio, and contribute towards setting up another much needed “Women for Women” refuge centre in Afghanistan. They need to listen to what the American woman who runs the centre is saying. Next time they bang on about NZ troops needing to be withdrawn from Afghanistan – just say the word Aisha to them. Afghanistan need more combat troops – for Aisha’s sake. God bless America – thank goodness they are still there in Afghanistan’s time of need.

  • garry

God bless america my fundamental orifice in my opinion.

The taleban arent any more evil or satanic than a whole lot of other special interest groups. There are groups involved in guiding our own education system that dont want to do anything to women … in our setting they want to mentally castrate boys before they have a chance to get a mind of their own and start questioning this left wing pc bullshit that permeates our culture currently.

The americans are lost without the poms guiding them. My dad said when he served in Italy that the most notable thing about the yanks was their penchant for strafing their own commanders by accident. Wonderful people – but they have never demonstrated any clear military ability or political ability to get it right without members of the “old order” to help them.

Marybelle – do you have a son .. then stick him into the NZ army and wave a fucking hanky at him when he gets sent to a warzone run by the Yanks. When he gets his arse blown off for some culture that this nation has nothing to do with – then come bleating about God Bless America. “Say the word Aisha to them” … what a load of bullshit … Aisha’s own culture is to blame not us for gods sake.

The yanks are only there because their moron of a president got them there in a manner that had no clear end game in mind – (quote Charlie Wilson) Now they dont quite know what to do next.

The balance of power rubbish has been going on since the post napoleonic era – if the Kaiser hadnt deepsixed Count Otto Von Bismarck the First World War would never have happened.

The Yanks have the diplomatic skills of 10 year olds. And what alarms me – is they are a weakening power who we need now – to act as a counterpoint and stabilising influence in a very hostile environment.

If you believe in Afghanistan and the troops marybelle – you get on the next plane and go there yourself. It isnt so great and a crusade if bullets are flying and you might die for a culture that hasnt got its shit together to begin with.

    Heres a thought …

One … how many US Senators and congressmen/women have children of theirs in the US military serving in Afghanistan or Iraq – the Brits have at least one royal who has been there … perhaps they could send Jeb Bush or perhaps jebs or George Jrs children to demonstrate resolve .. if any are serving.. good for them

Two … to all contributors on this blog – if you (and you may) have loved ones serving in our armed forces … how comfortable will you be if they are deployed to Afghanistan or in the future, to Iraq

Three … Are any of US prepared to jump on a plane or ship (if provided) and actually go to Afghanistan or Iraq to serve alongside the troops (who in my view are heroes all) in those zones of conflict

Parting shot – I trust israel as far as i can kick their yamulkah wearing butts … israel are only going to ever become a bonafide friend of NZ if they stop lying and being manipulative warmongers. Stop trading on the holocaust and come into the reputable family of nations. I get the suspicious feeling they would sell the rest of us down the river to benefit themselves. Remember guys – we fought and died in WW2

I remember reading Col Mukhi Betser’s biography (An Israeli patriot – he was involved in the 6 day war etc and the raid on entebbe) – and in that book he was heavily critical of his Governments propaganda and spurious pretexts for making war.

    Cheers

And as far as Israel and in fact fundamentalist christians and Muslims go …. just a point for all to note…

I am suspicious of anyone whose founding premise is that they are the “chosen people” (what does that excuse .. and / or make the rest of us)

And dont sell me the crock about the secular “zionists” – deep down the orthodoxy is at the heart of the whole thing.

    Cheers and mazeltov

  • chuck

Zionists, secular or otherwise do not cut off people body parts.

  • garry

Ok – so only non zionists cut off peoples body parts – if i follow your reasoning and obviously you have been there to verify that. I suppose the odd tank round or machine gun burst etc doesnt count. Of course its so much more clinical and clean.

Only palestinians cut off peoples body parts. Personally, I think the palestinians are becoming patsies for the more militant islamic groups – and all the israelis do is throw petrol on a bonfire.

    I didnt realise that.

And by the way – i am an admirer of israel and its right to exist and of the israeli military and their prowess – what i dont admire – is the sheep then deciding its time to become the wolf and by then doing so, surpass the best efforts of its previous persecutors.

    cheers

Garry, I am not blindly pro Israeli. In any case this thread is about the barbaric way Muslims treat women, mainly in Afghanistan. No matter how Israel changes its behaviour in war will not affect the way Muslims treat women.

Someone has provided the link to how they treat them in NZ.

    http://tvnz.co.nz/sunday-news/sunday-march-14-child-brides-3402971

It is disgusting that our government turns a blind eye to the sexual and physical abuse of these underage girls but are happy to prosecute NZ men for rape when there is not a prima facie case.

  • marybelle

Garry – you are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. If it weren’t for the Yanks back in World War 2 you wouldn’t have the freedom to go on and on and on and on in this blog! Where is your compassion for those who have been treated like Aisha? God Bless America!

  • steve

Where are the lefties? Here is your chance to have your say. NZ should bring our troops home, bring the SAS home you say. Why? Why will you lefties not answer?

Phil Goff, Leader of the Opposition, where are you?
    Russel, where are you?
Where are Goff’s supporters? Where are all of the gutless anti – Americans?
Making up excuses that you did not know about this? You know, and it’s not just here in this blog. Busy feeding Sunday papers bullshit are you?

Family rumor is that Big Norm was in a Conscious Objectors Camp in WW2, Reporoa/Braodlands? Not sure.
Anyway that’s where you coqsuckers should be, not supporting the Teleban. Hold a Teleban flag up on ANZAC Day Mr Goff, alongside Metiria and Russel and Keith.

  • thor42

Garry – you know FUCK-ALL about the Taliban.

They are FAR more evil than any other group of barbarians in the world. As well as dishing out the kind of cowardly thuggery meted out to Aisha, they go around terrorising, bullying and intimidating the locals.

Then there is their burning down of schools – the reason being, of course, that if the locals DO get a decent education in a school (rather than a madrassa), they will see that the Taliban (and for that matter, Islamic) ideology is BULLSHIT.

In fact, there is (IMO) too much emphasis in the media about the fighting in Afghanistan, and **nowhere near enough** focus on the excellent rebuilding and progress that is being made in that area. The impression is being given that it is ALL fighting and nothing else – that is NOT the case.

Hospitals, medical clinics, schools – you name it, there is really good stuff happening in the development area. Oh, and don’t forget the progress being made in building up the Afghan National Army – now over 100,000 strong.

I **FULLY AGREE** with WO. We ***STAY*** until the job is done, and the Afghans can look after themselves. ***FUCK*** the whining, hand-wringing panty-waisted dickhead lefties who want to COWARDLY cave in and leave the locals to the Taliban.
