Charlie Shovel up to his Trotters in Fuller affair

I see from the Herald today that Charlie Shovel is pushing Tarsha Fuller’s barrow. This despite Phil Goff saying he knows nothing about the whole debacle.Just who is in control of Labour these days?

Charlie Shovel , Gladys, Charles ChauvelNational MP Paula Bennett is not discussing how conciliation efforts are going between her and a solo mother she offended by releasing her benefit details, but Labour MP Charles Chauvel says the woman simply wants an apology.

Natasha Fuller was at the centre of a controversy last year after she talked about her inadequate study grant, then saw details of her benefits publicly released by Ms Bennett.

Ms Bennett met Ms Fuller last week and TV3 News reported that there were suggestions the minister had made a monetary offer.

Ms Bennett denied the allegation and Ms Fuller, who laid her initial complaint with the Privacy Commission, admitted she made up a story about being offered money to end the inquiry.

Mr Chauvel said he had helped Ms Fuller with her initial complaint and offered ongoing support. He said she had contacted him via Facebook yesterday and indicated she would like to take up his offer.

Take up his offer? Of what? Legal representation for defamation proceedings? She won’t be getting anything. Twice she has attacked Paula Bennett and twice she has been caught lying about her story and her situation. Yet Charlie Shovel is still pushing her story around the traps.

While we are talking about Charlie Shovel, I’d like to answer why it is that as a scum List MP based in Wellington he managed to amass $11,014 of domestic travel in just 3 months. Charlie Shovel is a List MP, he is based in Wellington. There is no reasonable excuse for this level of troughing. It simply can’t be justified.

When is this fool gonna learn?… The Fuller affair is over and done with, I’m more concerned about the travel expenses. No doubt his “partner” is along for the free ride.

Ummmm … where in the report does it say he’s offering legal representation?

    Your fevered imagination again, Cam.

Domestic travel? . What about Collins petrol bill. Way out in front. Just out in her neck of the woods in Maraetai. But of course she has a limo to carry her back and forth but no doubt some family member is doing the distance on the taxpayers money- what a surprise that Collins is another trougher

If I read correctly, Collin’s fuel bill was $460 for a month. At today’s fuel prices, that would be less than a tank of fuel a week. She Drives an Audi Quatro. I have voiced my opinion over Maryan Street spending $15,000 on domestic air travel to fly between Nelson and Wellington over a 3 month period. Now While Judith’s expense is far less significant than Maryan Streets’ I am concerned that there is some troughing and family use going on here. That said, you have to account for some of the fuel being consumed to attend ministerial duties as well as her Papakura electorate obligations (Which Street is devoid of) which would justify some of the bill. I would also like to state that in today’s age, that there is no reason for having a gas guzzler if the taxpayer is to foot the bill.

So while I would agree that Judith has her tongue in the trough, Maryan Street by comparison has her snout well an truely buried up to the hindquarters in the trough. So far there must be a cookie jar buried deep in there.

By the way, I would be keen to know how much Labour MPs and their loosely connected spouses/whanau spent on self drive cars when they held the baubles of office. If I recall one Winston Raymond Peters was even reluctant to give up his car after he had been given the boot.

I’d just like as many people as possible to give this comment the thumbs down because it is plainly posted by somebody who is left leaning. Not for any other reason. I mean, it would not be at all reasonable to expect people to give the thumbs-down to comments due to the comments being outrageous or ethically reprehensible. just vote comments down cos you disagree with the person on principle, eh? Fuckwits.

    “Fuckwits”

You decribe yourself to perfection Harpoon :-)

Harpoon. I agree this blog has a right-wing leanings, but the only reason your comments get the big thumbs down is because, frankly, they blow. If you made any valid comments or any sense, of course people would agree with you – but you don’t, so we don’t.
