I will publish a detailed list of your achievements as president, completely unedited and without comment, and I will ask the rest of the VRWC to do the same. That is, Peter, if you have any achievements. I can’t think of any.
Question for MPs: What has Peter Goodfellow done for you? Be nice if the caucus meddlers, Nathan Guy and Gerry Brownlee, in particular could answer this question.
Answer: He has put up your tax victory fund
What hasn’t he done?
- Nominated strategic seats and done anything to help strategic seats
- Helped you win votes from non national sectors of the community, especially ethnic communities
- Raised corporate money.
- Developed a strategy for the National Party
- Implemented the strategy
- Planned for the 2011 election
- Planned for any election at all – he doesn’t even seem to have a plan for the board election other than trying to get caucus to strong arm the party members into re-electing him.
MPs should think back to the work that Judy Kirk put in, and understand that the party presidency is damn hard work, and if anyone knows I sure as hell do. It is not a sinecure for a poor little rich boy who needs something to do between trust fund cheques.
The reason inaction of the president is such a disgrace is that it will start costing National votes, and MPs their seats. So, meddling caucus members, if you want to lose your seat then by all means back Peter, I mean it is the “do nothing” solution. If you want a president that actually does something, and tries to keep you in parliament by running an effective party, tell your delegates to rank him last.
Call to Action for voting delegates:
- Rank Peter Goodfellow Last
- Punish him for his record of doing nothing
- Get a new President, and see the National Party thrive
