Name Suppression

Cowards hide behind the Burqa of Name Suppression

Ok it is time for all those out there who support my stance on name suppression to assist with the legal bills. I appreciate the months of loyal support as I await the slow wheels of our Justice system to turn. Now I need your cash support, no matter the size, every bit helps, to help with the fight.

It is time to ban the Burqa of our Legal System – Stop Pedos and Sex Offenders from hiding under the burqa.

In just 12 days (25 August) I appear in the Auckland District Court to defend these charges.

I need help to pay the legal bills. The next few days are hectic as I prepare my defence with my lawyer Gregory Thwaite.

For those donating I will also be opening a Kiwibank account for direct deposit. I will post the details when that is open.

Any surplus funds raised will be donated equally between the RSA Welfare Fund and the Ex-Vietnam Services Association, in honour of those who fought for our rights to freedom of speech.

I thank you all in advance for your support. Hopefully I will see you in court as well.

I have applied to live blog proceeding in the interests of open justice, as well as live Tweet the case as it proceeds.

The RSA and vets are great causes but I think you should keep the new account separate. Blog legal defense fund now and in the future.

    Whaleoil,

I have decided to donate to your defence fund. That has a price. Since I am giving you money, I feel I have also purchased the right to tell you what I think of you. A lot of the issues you stand up for, especially name suppression, I full agree with and I admire you for taking such a principled stand at undoubted cost to yourself and your family. At the same time, I can’t overlook the fact that you are a reactionary, red-necked crypto-fascist with a stupid obsession with weapons and violence. You also seem to think that genuinely complex social issues can be resolved by lining selected individuals up against a wall and shooting them. Your statements about paedophiles is only one example of this. These people come from somewhere. Something makes them be the way they are. New ones continuously emerge. Many are clearly prepared to risk any sanction to satisfy their urges. If you really want to do something to protect children, the answer has to be to learn more about the mechanisms that cause this behaviour in the first place. Cutting off their balls or whatever may satisfy your own particular perversions, but it is a simple-minded knee-jerk response that does absolutely nothing to solve the real problem.

I read your blog because you amuse me. I do not support any political party, because they all feed from the same shit pile. I am neither for nor against name suppression, but I am totally against the judicial double standard. Good luck with your case. I hope you win.

Cetainly Whaleoil can sometimes be, how shall we say, a tad extreme..

However I found a quote that I think perfectly sums this up…

“Reasonable men adapt to the world around them; unreasonable men make the world adapt to them. The world is changed by unreasonable men.”
    Edwin Louis Cole

I have also put a link to this appeal up on the Trademe message boards….
Should put the cat amonst the pigeons, I look forward to watching the ensuing dustup
