More abuse from Williams

Now Andrew Williams is calling me a “disturbed psycho nutter”, and apparently Matt McCarten is changing his endorsement yet again, I wonder if poor Matt copped a barrage of abusive emails from the Mad Mayor late last night.

I know what Matt really wants to write, but on this issue he seems to be caving to undue pressure from anonymous influences.

    Isn’t there some sort of written or even unwritten rule that MP’s and MAYOR’S don’t comment about members of the public??

    So, sure, Whale has a diagnosis. He suffers from depression. So do John Kirwan, Mike King, Michael Laws, and god knows how many other respected members of society.

    Williams, on the other hand, has no official (disclosed) diagnosis. That doesn’t mean he isn’t psycho; it means he isn’t getting treatment.

    Some thoughts.

    It’s rather… novel… of Andrew Williams to refer to Slater as a disturbed psycho nutter. What makes Williams think that the majority of the 960,000-odd voters of Auckland would want an aggressive arsehole representing our great city? Take a look at the sort of crap he posts in public and it gives you an inkling of the sort of crap he must be texting people privately.

    I’m disappointed that McCarten has changed his comments. He doesn’t strike me as the sort to back down easily. What a shame he doesn’t have more of a backbone.

    I think that Andrew Williams and John Banks should square off in a celebrity fight for life with the proceeds going towards a mental illness foundation. Or Andrew Williams vs Cameron Slater. Or John Banks vs Len Brown. Hell, any combination of the above would be good.

    Matt McCarten can’t join in though. He’s got cancer. It’s not nice to beat up a man with cancer.
