For the uninitiated the Stryker is the US version of the NZLAV. Note they seem to prefer the wheels on top…probably a better armor solution.
As you can see this Stryker sports “slat” armor as an addition, so useful is the standard armor-plate at defeating RPGs. Since our LAVs won’t ever see anything tougher than Waiouru we don’t need this extra protection.
