When will Phil Listen?

The world is in its worst financial crisis since the thirties, and the New Zealand economy may not be totally screwed but most New Zealanders are nervous. It is hard to imagine even Midas fixing it in time for next years election.

Phil Goff should stop copying Red Ed, the unproven new leftie leader of the British Labour Party, and start listening to the Whale. All he has to do is keep asking the question “are you better off now than you were under Labour?”

The answer to that question is a clear “No”. That will change the dynamics of the next election far more than copying some pommy bastard ever will.

I have more money than I did under Labour. I’m better off. Even if I wasn’t I wouldn’t want a grinning fool as our PM.

Whale, a better question might be When will that smiling, waving buffoon listen?
When will he listen to 90% of the population on parental discipline?
When will he listen to globally-recognised experts on how to fix the parlous state of the New Zealand economy?
When will he listen to his core constituency and stop appeasing a racist minority?
When will he listen to sense and reason and give Tinkerbell the flick?

Phil Gaffe can afford not to listen, because he knows he will never be Prime Minister. He can afford to make outlandish statements in the knowledge that his time will be up this time next year. Neville Key, on the other hand, needs to HTFU.

I’ll be better off soon when I sell the bloody boat. Cost me a fortune it has.
Won’t need it soon though cause I won’t have anywhere to launch it once the beach is out of bounds.

I agree with Mr. Infinity – I’m better off now than I was under Labour too.
