Update on Rodney skulduggery

News from the tipline.

The Rodney selection has now been delayed by two weeks with the selection date now being 14 March 2011. Clearly all was not well with the local delegates as outlined by this blog.

I know this because there is now an audit underway of memberships, particularly those of Wainui branch where more than 250 last minute memberships were registered all at $5 each. A cursory examination of the members and addresses has shown anomalies where members were actually residing within the boundaries of the branch. As I predicted this was a nasty attempt at rigging the outcome of a selection.

This now has all the hallmarks of stitch ups going back donkey’s years, including the nasty battle between Paul East and Max Bradford where thousands of “new” members were signed up and many had the same address, that being the local cemetery.

This attempt was rather ham-fisted by Brent Robinson and Cehill Pienaar. It has been outed and hopefully now with the audit underway there can be some hope of integrity in the process.

However, if Alan towers is involved in the re-casting of the delegates then the stigma of a fiddle is still there given his appalling decisions so far on delegate selection for the top-ups. One wonders how they thought they would get this sort of fit-up past my nose without me sniffing the stench.

Since there is now a delay it also serves as a good moment to re=cast the regional top-ups. Since no one at the regional level can really be trusted to do the right thing I propose a possible solution that would help to bring some integrity back into the process.

Long serving party members and/pr office holders should volunteer their services. Theere only needs to be around 20 selected so a grouping of about 30-40 would suffice. All those names would then go into a hat and the names drawn under the purview of past presidents John Slater and Michelle Boag. If those two can agree on the suitability of a regional delegate being pulled from the hat then it would be safe to say that the delegate is of impeccable intregrity and not one to brook any nonsense like we have seem thus far.

This whole episode in Rodney has left me disgusted that people in the party could behave in such scurrilous ways. Frankly if Brent Robinson or Scott Simpson can’t win a selection on their merits and have to resort to cheating, rorting or skewing the system then they certainly don’t belong in the house of representatives looking after the interests of the people of Rodney.

If Brent had even a single iota of decency he would quit the race after being caught out by this blogger.

By the evidence of your naïveté, I would suggest you have never been actively involved in politics? Wake up man, this is why politicians have been despiced by outsiders for centuries! Whealing and dealing is part and parcel of it. Look it up in the dictionary….
Next thing you will be crusading against second hand car salesmen and how one sold you a bomb and how could such an honest bloke do this to you…..or how your misses’ friendly lawyer took all your stuff…
Why don’t you join the party, volunteer your time and money, and help steer the ship at grass roots?

      You’re new here aren’t you?

That has to be the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard furrynz
WO was bottle fed politics and quite frankly in the whole time I have been with WO ( since he was 18 ) not one meal was ever eaten at his parents home when politics was not discussed at length at the dinner table. In fact it took a lot of getting used to as I had never in my life been involved with people who were so deeply immersed in politics from the grass roots up.
WO has a lot more to offer politics than being an envelope stuffer. In my mind his role is to act as the ‘ Fair Go ‘ of politics. Calling Politicians to account no matter what side they are on. You can spend YOUR time and money at grass roots Furrynz, WO’s time is much better spent doing what he does best, ie being deadly effective.

      • furrynz

I would have thought sharing his Dads experiences he would by now be wise to the wheeling and dealing, underhand and manipulative tactics used in politics….I guess not.
Anyway, I am surprised you can still blog. Sounded like you might have been choking on self importance. Are you ok dear?
To me it sounds more like WO is trying to be the NZ version of Julian Assange….like an unguided scud missile with no regard for the consequences of naively broadcasting ‘chinese whispers’ type gossip as fact – all for the greater good! At least Assange has physical cables…you have a tipline. Just ask the police how much unsubstantiated BS you get via a tipline.
You guys need to get out of the camo clothes, get out of Moms basement, and get some perspective. Take a trip to the Gold Coast and get some exercise and sun. My shout!

So far everything I have blogged has been true, to the exact detail.

The delegates were stacked. Now there is an audit happening.
Cehill Pienaar is a bully, and a thug, along with being an un-reconstituted racist denying his past. Evidence provided.
The delegates list was also stacked by Alan Towers in favour of Scott Simpson. Clearly you are a Simpson fan too. Perhaps you will see your name on the list when I publish that. I have just been waiting for some putz from his team to pop up and call bullshit on me, now I have the perfect excuse to publish it.

I have documents, i have emails and I have letters. If the party doesn’t clean its shit up they will all get published and I will drip feed it for days leading up to the selection on March 14.

The real killer will the the details of the meddling at Board level by someone who should know better who tried to spike a candidate there instead of letting delegates vote on them.

It is clear that there is a little cadre of anti-democratic old codgers who think their old ways still will work.

          • furrynz

What list? All you are doing is hurting the candidates and giving labour ammo.

          • http://whaleoil.gotcha.co.nz Whaleoil

            The list of delegates fool.

There wouldn’t be any ammo to give Labour if the party played properly. If the candidates can’t win without cheating then they don’t deserve to be MPs. And finally, I couldn’t give a fuck about the party when they had me barred from their conference in Auckland and thrown from the room at the Botany selection on the Presidents orders.

        • http://whaleoil.gotcha.co.nz Whaleoil

I am well aware of the wheeling, dealing and underhanded manipulative tactics….it is high time that bullshit ended and I am doing my part to end it.

Strange that you seem to want to continue those practices.

        • http://www.cadlow.co.nz spanishbride

‘Anyway, I am surprised you can still blog. Sounded like you might have been choking on self importance. Are you ok dear?’

Well, well, well sounds like FurryNZ is either a woman or an old fart.
Only old ladies call me dear. Maybe she’s furry because like some French women she does not like to shave her pits LOL ( just a thought )

Time for a reality check Furry. You are reading and posting on my husbands Blog. he is not reading or posting on yours. Self importance? Not at all. You came to him, not the other way around.

As for the silly references to Moms basement ( are you American by the way, we say Mum here in NZ ) Wo and I have been living away from home for 25 years now, sorry to burst your fantasy of a teenage geek in the basement. You really aren’t very well informed are you?

As for the offer of the trip to the Gold coast, is that a bribe? I am happy to be paid off just want to be certain who the paymaster is. Who are you Furry?
Also a brown paper bag stuffed with cash would also be required so I can do some shopping while I am over there. That’s how underhand deals are done isn’t it? You see I know these things, I am a clever wee dear you see.

P.S the cash and trip are for me only. WO can’t be bought. I however will happily take your money and give you absolutely nothing in return for it. That’s how it works in politics LOL.

Perhaps nominations should be reopened and the whole process started over. Although perhaps some of the original interested people are no longer so.

  • jmacaca

What’s up with your constant high praise for Michelle B? Did you miss out on the dinner talks in 2001 when she ousted your dad with underhand and bullying tactics? At the time the Slater camp identified her as an embarressment to the party with regards to her past. Did everyone kiss and make up? Is she now good to go to help add credibility to the process?

  • bradform

Whaleoil, you are a lying manipulator. Neither Paul East nor I EVER signed up fictitious members, and certainly none from “local cemeteries” as you assert. But just like so many bloggers these days, you like to invent lies to blow your own trumpet. What a disgusting person you are.
    Max Bradford

    • http://whaleoil.gotcha.co.nz Whaleoil

Oh really!…What about the 150 members who all had the same address. People I know who conducted and audit of the membership in Rotorua certainly found people registered to the cemetery.

You and Paul may never have personally signed up the fictitious members and if you read carefully I never said you did. Simply that there were vast numbers signed up, some with the address of the cemetery and lots at the same addresses. Certainly thousands were signed up in a short space of time but teams affiliated with both you and Paul East. You may not have personally, but certainly members of your loyal band of followers did…very conveniently at arms length from you.

You know and I know that that battle was particularly nasty and involved membership audits at the time. The fact you have reacted so nastily shows just what sort of a person you are and were back then. I highlighted Rotorua as the sort of politics we thought we wouldn’t have again.

  • bradform

Boy do you have a problem with the truth, and historical facts. See a shrink and you’ll do us all a favour.

    • http://whaleoil.gotcha.co.nz Whaleoil

Answer me this then Max since you seem to be on a bender and chucking around personal slurs. Bear in mind Whaleoil’s Rules of Politics #32 – Never ask a question unless you already know the answer

How many members were there in Rotorua the year after your selection, from the high on selection night of over 4000?

      • bradform

I’ve long learned that when idiots like you have to ask such a question they think they know the answer….so you answer your own question, as you seem to know everything. Then I’ll tell you whether you are right or wrong.

        • http://whaleoil.gotcha.co.nz Whaleoil

You might have learned that long ago in politics when there wasn’t so much as a computer, but times have changed Max.

You also need to learn Whaleoil’s Rules of Politics – Rule 8 – Never wrestle with pigs, two things are for certain if you do. You will get dirty and the pig will enjoy it.

Here was me thinking, clearly erroneously that you were some sort of genius from the dark days. Then you go and engage with a blogger and call him mental. Well since you think I’m mental how do you think this is going to end for you, fool?

I’ll give you a clue…Rule 8. And yes I’m enjoying yanking your chain, since you are a dipshit I’ll yank it some more yet.

          • bradform

At last….something we can agree on.

            I never wrestle with pigs.
