Phil Goff: Lifesaver

I posted on Friday about Raymond Huo’s seemingly extraordinary claim that Phil Goff had been busy saving lives in Christchurch, and quickly found evidence to prove Ray was right.

Labour List MP Raymond Huo blogged at Red Alert:

Other constituents told me that when encountered with a natural disaster “Key is talking about how to save lives while Goff is going there to save lives”.

After combing through the archives, I’ve been finding other examples of Phil’s selfless bravery.

Here’s a news story crediting him with saving lives at the Hindenburg disaster.

Goff is taking Kris Fa’afoi’s wise advice again, and it’s clear that Phil’s undiscovered track record as a lifesaver is Labour’s secret weapon for this election campaign.

I heard goff on the radio this morning earnestly talking about the All Black jerseys being available cheaper on-line than in a retails store… “profiteering” etc etc. Store front compared to a shed somewhere (in China?) Who cares really?

Goff was way behind the play on the Adidas issue not that it’s exactly a problem that any Leader of the Opposition worth his salt would be focussing on.

The NZ manager of Adidas were caught with his knickers down over the official RWC All Black jersey costing over $200 in NZ retail outlets yet you could buy the same Adidas article (not a knock off) online from the official RWC store in the US for US$79.95 (NZ$91). First up he blamed it on currency fluctuations and a couple of hours later blamed the NZ retail outlets. All of this was revealed on ZB nationally there maybe a bit of tension within the Adidas corporates currently given that it is not a good look currently to be making shitloads of RWC money at the NZ punter’s expense.

Given Goofy’s current problems I am sure that he has more important issues to take care of.
