Had a brain fade and realised I didn’t put up a Mental health Break, so called out to the Army, this was one of the suggestions.

Teachers already planning strikes for next year
Loyal Whale followers will be aware I like to take an interest in our comrades in the teachers’ unions.
A look at the PPTA website has uncovered a real gem. Having lost hands down to the Government this year in their bleatings for yet another above average pay rise, I can reveal they are already planning industrial action for next year - Click on Class Size the Struggle Continues – and go to 3.4 and 3.5.
The class size BS is nothing more than the usual job protection crap from these numpties.
So having been slapped down once before, they reckon that a second-term National government is going to be more sympathetic?
What kind of socialist dream world do these people think they are living in?
Parents hate teachers’ unions. So bring it on.
Where’s Phil Goff?
Labour is not even backing its leader in its advertising.
Where exactly is Phil Goff? Off playing darts again?
Rushing to judgment causes red faces
I bet some political parties and their spokespeople are feeling just a little bit sheepish today after they rushed out press releases trying to capitalise on a report on air pollution from WHO that has since been withdrawn.
The World Health Organisation has removed data from its website that suggested New Zealand cities’ air quality was poorer than any major city in Australia and that Auckland’s air pollution was on a par with Tokyo’s.
In a compilation of air quality data from 1100 cities in 91 countries, reporting concentrations of health damaging “PM10″ particles WHO published 2009 data it said was sourced from the Ministry of Environment which suggested air quality in Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington breached its safety guidelines.
That, however was challenged by Environment Minister Nick Smith and his ministry.
The data has been replaced by 2010 numbers which showed all New Zealand main centres within the WHO safety guidelines of no more than 20 micrograms of PM10 particles per cubic metre of air with the exception of Dunedin which had been the only compliant New Zealand city according to the previous figures.
…Coordinator at WHO’s department of health and the environment Carlos Dora told Radio NZ the mistake was down to human error when the data was entered into its database.
“We’ve already been in touch with the Ministry of the Environment and different people in New Zealand because they spotted correctly there was a mistake. We have already corrected the database we presented already our apologies.”
Gareth Hughes should now feel more than a little bit stupid for his press release of Tuesday:
“More people in Auckland are dying from air pollution than in road crashes,” said Green Party transport spokesperson Gareth Hughes.
“This survey comes soon after a report to the Auckland Council estimated more than 700 premature deaths a year result from air pollution, should serve as a wake-up call.
“If these deaths happened all at once it would be recognised as a national tragedy and would be the subject of an official inquiry.
“Air pollution costs our health system, it’s bad for our people and it’s bad for the economy.”
Rather emotive and based on an erroneous and now withdrawn report. Phil Twyford and Charles Chauvel can likewise feel a bit silly:
A report showing air pollution in Auckland is double that of Sydney’s and on a par with Tokyo’s is another blot on National’s ever-expanding not very environmental copybook, Labour’s Environment spokesperson Charles Chauvel says.
World Health Organisation data out today reveals New Zealand cities trail all major Australian cities in terms of air quality, with Auckland the worst.
“Our largest city is just now getting a glimpse of the real cost of Steven Joyce’s anti-rail, more roads-at-all-cost policies – increased air pollution,” Charles Chauvel said.
“What’s particularly disgraceful is that the WHO report comes just two months after Auckland City Council reported that dirty air accounts for more than 700 deaths each year.
“Diluted air quality standards, minimum vehicle emission standards, and a relentless push for more cars is a disastrous combination.
“That’s a terrible public policy failure for National. As another MP observed recently, and rightly, Steven Joyce is the Colossus of Roads, and that will be his legacy,” Charles Chauvel said.
Well maybe it is a terrible failure, but I reckon the failure is on their part for relying on dodgy states from WHO. I wonder fo they will now retract their silly press releases.
Sensible decision but a law change is needed
Poor bastard would have gone through hell for months when all he did was stab a scumbag who was attacking him.
A 15-year-old boy who stabbed a burglar in a scuffle inside his West Auckland home has escaped charges.
The schoolboy and his father apprehended the 19-year-old intruder after finding him robbing their Henderson property on July 28.
A source told The Herald the intruder tried to escape the house after hearing the boy’s father.
He jumped out of a window, landing on the 15-year-old.
The older teenager was stabbed in an ensuing scuffle.
Police this afternoon said the “public interest” would be best served by referring the incident to Waitakere Youth Aid.
No criminal charges would be laid.
A law change to make this legal would be a good popular move.
Nothing less than a scandal, Ctd
Earlier today I continued my exposure of the NZEI and NZPF dirty tricks using schools and children to force their political views.
It appears that their strategy of hijacking school newsletters fro political aims has been in place since at least 2009. (Screenshot in case they remove the page)
This si nothing less than a scandal of a union hijacking school newsletters in a long standing campaign to subject parents and children to their political viewpoints.
The website lists at least 6 examples.
Maori Caucus wants Goff gone
No wonder Phil Goff thought playing darts was preferable to watching Mita Ririnui’s valedictory speech.
Nothing less than a scandal
A couple of days ago I outed a principal who was spreading NZEI poison to parents and kids through a school newsletter.
As you would imagine, parents have been contacting me saying it is outrageous that militant unionists – happy to take the taxpayer dollar – are stooping to this level.
Well, it just got worse.
I can now reveal that left-wing and Labour principals are spending their working school days – when they are being paid to teach kids – using school time and resources to stir up hatred, slag the government, and promote Labour and the unions on Facebook.
Of course, they are so stupid that they think they are invisible. Well, their lies and bile are there for all to see and it makes grim reading for parents, who will be assuming that these muppets are teaching their kids, as they are employed to do.
All the usual suspects are there. Marlene “Hitler” Campbell, Frances Nelson (ex-president of NZEI) and Sue Moroney.
One of the worst offenders is Northland bully principal Pat Newman. Oh – and by chance he is also a Labour candidate in the election. So is it appropriate for him to be using school time and resources to promote himself, Labour and plot to break the law?
The main poster is the principal of Hokowhitu School in Palmerston North, Allan Alach. He seems to have lots of time on his hands during the school day, to try and rally his comrades rather than teach kids at his school how to read, write and do maths.
If this nasty lot had any decency they would resign. And let’s not forget that taxpayers are giving them an extra $2000 dollars a year to implement national standards. As I said, give us back our money or get back to work.
Any journalist worth their salt would be calling the boards of trustees of all the principals involved and asking how much taxpayer time and money is being wasted on this, and is it appropriate for the principal to be using the school resources to make a political protest.
Remember – these guys want to hide information from journalists and parents because they don’t want crap schools and teachers identified.
These dinosaurs from a long-gone era of teacher unionism have lost the battle and will continue to lose.
