I would run them both rego plates through this site.

Due to law changes, carjam doesn’t reveal names anyone

Try http://www.motorweb.co.nz/.  It will cost you, but you will get the ownership.  It might be free down at your local postshop.

What do you want to know Whale?

      Owners, specifically.

last I knew the motor vehicle register was a public document, for 50 cents you can get owners details from post shop if you provide I.D. Unless it’s changed but i dont think so.

Law has changed, you can now opt out of having your details available to the public and websites like carjam etc now have to pay for information like wof, rego, mileage etc. If they are smart they will have blocked access, only way to legally get the info is through the police. Someone willing to risk their job working for VTNZ or similar can probably get you the info but they can track who has looked at what.

While what you say is true – and I have blocked access after a string of finance company spamming – I doubt that the owners are that smart. Carjam has shown one has had the odo obviously altered several times and re-registered several times while the other is expired by quite some time which presents as a red flag if they ever got pulled over.

so we only need to know which city these bikes where in, go to the local occupy protest, environmental work trust, basket weavers club or school carpark.

    Dishonesty issue I guess?

You can do it online for $15 each request. It takes up to a couple of weeks I guess to check the opt-out register.
