Quote of the Day

From The NZ Herald about Andrew Williams:

“I’d make the prediction that within six months he would have disgraced himself down at [a local bar] with cheap booze. He’s got a problem and he’ll be in that sort of toxic environment [in parliament],” said Allan Trotter, 60.

Oh it is going to be fun. I might join the gallery and live in Wellington for 3 days a week.

Green Parrot would be a better bet

Yep; somehow someone needs to persuade the owner of the Green Parrott to install a webcam…

      • sthnjeff

Yeah maybe for Winnie but a bit to far away from Parliament for Piddles

do the 2 bars still exist inside the beehive, and are they taxfree, or heavily subsidized still?

    • Gazzaw

Winston will show him where they are.

  • kevin

The NZ First list folk WP has bought along with him, may prove to be his downfall. Keeping tabs on them will be a huge distraction. But, lots of entertainment potential to be had.

    • Troy

True.  Williams is a rocket out of control – his record shows that already.  Just read that North Shore voters are livid he got in given he received such a small vote count there, in addition to his past shoddy record.  That’s the problem with MMP and… hello… we haven’t voted to change it… geesh!

The Octopus is the one that will cause the most damage

Many years ago (I think in the Muldoon era) a National cabinet minister claimed that he was mugged in Molesworth Street just up from Parliament. Police never did resolve the case but it was said the prime suspects were Johnnie Walker and Jim Beam.

    • MrAuz1989

I think that was Keith Allen

    • Guest

It was Keith Allen who was desperately ill, but Muldoon wouldn’t let him retire.

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Reading_Allen

Ironically, Allen was replaced in the Tauranga seat by Winston Peters

      • Pharmachick

Mate, that’s a miserable story. We all know that Muldoon got lost in the straits of Megalomania (pun intended) at the end, but that story is just nasty behavior.

I love the green parrot. The bread and butter, the worcester sauce ,the table cloth and the delightful serving girls and that’s before I get to deal to the flounder. !!.Be good to see Winston back. But he better remember times have changed. Phones with video cameras, recording devices and social media. Fun times ahead, wakkodooo !!!!!!!!
