Whaleoil Awards – Rookie of the Year

Yesterday I posted for nominations for Rookie of the Year.

The nominees are:

Mark Mitchell had to contend with Colin Craig and his dodgy polls and media beat up in Rodney electorate, but got home with a 12,000 majority.

Maggie Barry has sledged Andrew Williams and Phil Goff during the campaign and continued her sledging of Williams since the election.

Mike Sabin took a run down electorate and increased the popular John Carter’s majority in Northland.

Richard Prosser, despite getting barely only 538 votes has managed to make headlines within days of his election by suggesting that bottle store owners, dairy proprietors and cab drivers be allowed to carry guns for protection.

    Richard Prosser is the man. I think we are going to have endless amusement from him.

    Got to back Mike Sabin.  He has a track reocrd of making a differnece, and wont be in Parliament to make up the numbers !  He will make a differnece up North, and then will be a candidate for higher honors aroudn the cabinet table.  He has faced P whores waving shotguns, not Labour MPs, Greenies or Winne will not scare him in the least !!!!
