Whaleoil Awards – Worst Blog nominations

There you readers, fill yer boots.

So many awful blogs to choose from, the largely anonymous cowards at The Standard, Red Alert, Malcolm Harbrow’s No Right Turn where he focuses on the first part of his handle Idiot/Savant.

Then there is the failed horse trainer/plumber from Ruakaka, Todd, who has a blog called The Jackal. Karl du Fresne describes it thus:

 “A jackal is a cowardly cur that skulks in the shadows. I can’t think of a blog that’s more appropriately named”

Public Address isn;t so much as bad, rather tedious. Pundit is the blog for unemployed journalists but does harbour Nicky Hager.

    True blue NZ. Rambling describing the 99% as lefties. Noticable for cheering then dissing Don brash. Also irregular updates, too much focus on ameeican primaries, and calling people cowards whilst using only the psydoname.

    THE HAND MIRROR. From 2000 word posts about sex with disabled people and continual ranting about abortions and constant nastiness to any politician from “NACT”; these ladies really take the cake. They blatantly ignore any sexist left wing comments (such as those made by David Cunliffe) and poorly research their attacks on the right wing. Their chief blogger Julie Fairey made public statements saying she didn’t think Labour would hold onto any strategic seats, I don’t think we would ever catch Whale Oil blabbing to the media about how he thinks National will lose.

      Strangely enough I’m not a product of a government education system.  Perhaps the lack of it is the reason for my atrocious grammar?  

      I agree with nasska.  Your response is to descend to ad hominem attacks assuming aspects of your opponent says more about you than your flip flopping about Dr Brash.  Which is he, a politician with ‘conviction’, a ‘wishy washy spineless’ or an ‘idiot libertarian’?  And why isn’t your blog consistent on this issue?

    Red Alert – Just delivered venting at John Key, Paula Bennett, and rich pricks in general.
    Not PC – more like a stern lecture (why aren’t you a fan of Libz, renaissance art, and jazz?) than a blog.

    Kiwiblog – A big decline in the last 3 years. Supposed to be a cheerleader of Richardson type policies but sounds more like an English apologist.
