Romney wins New Hampshire

Mitt Romney has won the New Hampshire primary, he now faces the South Carolina primary:

One day after a solid victory in New Hampshire, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney faces a critical test in South Carolina as he seeks to convince conservative voters that he is their best bet to defeat Democratic President Barack Obama.

Romney took a crucial step toward the Republican nomination on Tuesday (local time) with his win in New Hampshire, the second contest in the state-by-state battle for the Republican nomination. He won 39 per cent of the vote and was well ahead of his nearest rival.

Now some of you may be confused by all this talk about primaries, here is an explanation about the while process that is easy to understand:

The video is very interesting. I never understood the American system until this. There is a lot of scope for troughing in this model. Pretty scary!

Meh, Obama is going to win anyway.

He deserves to lose, though. Terrible president. And before you jump to the usual Bush comparison, how good or bad Bush is has no bearing on how bad Obama is. Reagan fixed a recession and gave America and the world the 1980s, Obama has caused the global recession to last longer with his terrible policies.

I suggest you go learn some history as you are quite wrong.

Looks like Romney has the nomination sewn up. Shame the Republicans didn’t go with Ron Paul, the only limited government candidate among the Republicans.

If Romney wins South Carolina it will be sewn up.  New Hampshire didn’t mean jack shit this go-around.  If someone else wins South Carolina, the race is wide open, even if Romney comes back in Florida.

No wonder the USA is a fucked up place to live – so full of bullshit with an election system like that.  So they all get together in the end and with their usual loud-mouth bluster discuss how wonderful and great they are… geesh.

It really is a weird electoral system.
