Slow Learner

Trevor Mallard just can’t resist. He is now involved in another bike race challenge, this time with a Green MP, Holly Walker…great now our taxes are being wasted by two cyclists masquerading as MPs:

Why don’t they just quit if they want to spend all their time riding?

        Kosh – So if MPs are only required to work when Parliament is sitting then I suggest the 20 weeks annual leave is the best perk. But it’s not like that – MPs are paid a decent amount because they are expected to be available to work every hour of every day.

        If they want to have a life, write to the Speaker advising the date of their resignation.

    Good on Trevor Mallard. I don’t have any problem with this so long as it doesn’t detract from his duties to the New Zealand public. In some respects I find this aspect of him to be somewhat of a role model to us lazier individuals

    From my school days, I observed that teachers mostly all fit into one of two main categories. They are either Nasty, or Crazy. They sometimes, though rarely, overlap to create a Nasty And Crazy teacher. Kosh is clearly in the Nasty category. He reminds me of a teacher who got his rocks off by insisting everybody called him ‘sir’. If you didn’t respond with ‘yes sir’ when he called the roll, he’d go apeshit. Very narcissistic. Like kosh.

    There is a 3rd minor category which is the Excellent teacher, though very few teachers actually fit in this category. Excellent teachers usually end up having a gutsful of working along side Nasty and Crazy and they leave the profession. It’s important to note that while Nasty and Crazy can overlap with each other – Venn style – Excellent can never overlap with the other two. It would be like magnets repelling each other.

    Mallard on the other hand… I think he is feeling very insecure these days. He is lashing out at people on social media and taking up cycle races against non-cyclists so that he can feel better about himself. He is to be pitied, really.

        I suppose you’re not very good at reading which, unfortunately, is not too surprising for a teacher these days. I never claimed to know how to do the job or understand the job (though the old axiom holds true, that those who can, do; those who can’t, teach). I wasn’t offering any advice on how teachers should carry out their job. I don’t know how you got that from what I wrote, but I suppose you have reading and comprehension problems.
        What I wrote was my observations from my days as a student. I notice you are not challenging those observations directly, rather you’re attacking something I never said. So I assume that’s because you know my observations have quite a ring of truth to them.
