Now that is what I call a harsh lesson

This father has had some trouble dealing with his ungrateful and rude daughter…so he responded to a rude post of hers on Facebook:

My daughter thought it would be funny/rebellious/cool to post on her Facebook wall just how upset she was and how unfair her life here is; how we work her too hard with chores, never pay her for chores, and just in general make her life difficult.

She chose to share this with the entire world on Facebook and block her parent’s from seeing it. Well, umm… she failed. As of the end of this video, she won’t have to worry anymore about posting inappropriate things on Facebook…

Maybe a few kids can take something away from this… If you’re so disrespectful to your parents and yourself as to post this kind of thing on Facebook, you’re deserving of some tough love. Today, my daughter is getting a dose of tough love.

    Now that’s parenting.

  • Kosh103

Urgh, got bored less than half way through. He just blathered on and on. Yes we get it, your teenager is ungreatful – call the press.

    • Kapow

Just like we get bored over all of your posts……

    • Anonymous

      Ungrateful

    • Kosh103

My goodness, take you long to come up with that witty come back.

      • Anonymous

Well K , there is a rumour on these boards that you are a teacher.

    • http://www.whaleoil.co.nz Whaleoil

You should have watched because you would have seen him put 8 .45ACP rounds through his daughters laptop.

    • LesleyNZ

Kosh – no you don’t get it at all.

  • Anonymous

A lesson she’ll never forget, and for which, one day, she will be truly grateful.

  • Hey Jude

Oh god how I would love at times to do the same to my daughters laptop! That was brilliant. What’s the bet she now runs away from home?

  • Uavman

Fail,  Should have double tapped – always double tap

  • Steve (North Shore)

    Love it.
Kosh = pathetic self centered, clean your act up Kosh, or ditch your laptop, give it to someone who can use it.

    • Kosh103

I am not surprised you love it. I am not surprised most, if not all, on here love it.

I found it boring, drawn out and the 21st century version of a lecture from a parent. Not only do we have kids posting every thought in their head, we now have parents punishing their kids via the net.

      • Pharmachick

And 21st century activists whingeing about “parents punishing their kids [via the net]“. All class, as usual; Kosh103

      • Steve (North Shore)

You should stop pretending to be adult Kosh103

      • STEVE AND MONIQUE

In the old days you would have got a kick up the arse, and deserved it.Now you get your laptop shot, and she deserved it.Have to get creative now the anti smacking bills about.Cheers S

      • Thorn

        You are the pits.

  • Ksoh103

I love when the right get all bent out of shape when someone doenst agree with their view.

So the Dad shot the laptop did he? Thats just really pathetic on his part. Doing more harm than good taking that road.

    • STEVE AND MONIQUE

you have your points, and others have theirs. How would you have chosen to explain to your child that what they had done was not respectfull

      • Ksoh103

Because of the relationship we have with our kids, we dont have the issues that this dad has. I would suggest that, given what he did, there is a lot more to this than meets the eye.

But to answer your question if one of our kids posted a post like that, we would simply remove all electronic devices quiet and calm like for a set period of time. There is no point in ranting and raving about a teens post on FB that she feels unfairly treated by her parents.

This father has no idea of the problems he has created between him and his daughter.

      • STEVE AND MONIQUE

Fair point, and would work just the same.

    • Tony V

Yeah, I would have just taken an axe to it. Then kicked her arse.

      • Ksoh103

And then you would be rightly thrown in jail for child abuse.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Augusta-V-Kuper/562451169 Augusta V-Kuper

“Spare the rod and spoil the child”….

    • LesleyNZ

How do you know this Kosh? That dad loves his daughter very much.

      • Ksoh103

I have no doubt he does love her. But he has created a whole new problem.

  • Tony V

Respect. This is a man being a parent and teaching the little bitch a lesson. Good on him. Perhaps, no correct that, we NEED, more parental responsibility like this here in NZ.

I just knew that shooting bit was coming….wish it had been a shotgun though..

    Kosh….change ya nappy.

    • Ksoh103

      Typical red neck reply.

  • Than

    *yamn*

I have to agree with Kosh. A teenager refusing to do her chores.. not exactly blog-worthy.

  • Jax

Bit of an over reaction,  scary dude to have a gun – what would he do if she crashed his car,  with his anger management and stutter I think she might be the next laptop.

    • http://www.whaleoil.co.nz Whaleoil

What a load of horseshit….he wasn’t angry at all in discharging his weapon. He calmly and safely disabled the laptop.

      • Ksoh103

Oh what crap. This guy was pissed off at his daughter and how did he deal with it? He pulled a gun and fired it in anger.

        How blind are you??

    • SerSydney

Crikey. What if he owned a knife!!!

  • coealacanth
  • Stevo

It was a very yappy .45!

  • Gazzaw

Sorry but I have to back kosh on this. The guy’s a self centred fuckwit. Sure his daughter needs disciplining but I think that he wants to be a star on FB more.  The only thing that worries me is that this dipshit gets to vote in November.

  • nzd.gbp

She’ll probably do whatever she can to leave home asap even if it means getting knocked up.
    He’s a dick. I couldn’t live with him either.

    • Kosh103

As I said, he has created a whole new problem between him and his daughter, and I would not be surprised if she did find some way to leave home.

I would also suggest he has dammaged their father/daughter relationship and when she does leave, she will have next to nothing to do with him for several years.

      • Greg M

As a parent of a 15 yo daughter, I can understand EXACTLY where this guy is coming from.
I can almost promise you he has just created a much bigger problem for himself and his daughter. He could reason with the camera , why can’t he reason with her? She will now not be at home and will use her friends laptops.
For only the second time ever I’m with Kosh on this one.

      • Legionshost

Instead of spouting ill-informed conclusions, look into it a bit further.
They are getting on fine now and since this has gone viral they are, together, looking at ways to cash in on their fleeting fame. The daughters idea is to sell the cartridge cases on ebay to raise funds for a new laptop and has also suggested that she sacrifice her cellphone the same way as a way to raise more money.

You really are a poster boy for “useful idiots”.

      • Greg M

I tried to follow up but couldn’t find anything, where did you find that Legions? cheers G

      • Kosh103

        Any proof of that legions?

      • Markp

Probably, but i’ll bet this guy will be glad to see the back of her. Teenagers are little shits and think they can get away with anything. I also note that the mother supported this guy’s actions. Kosh, go put your dummy back in.

      • Mark

Didn’t you say that you didn’t watch the whole clip?

    • nzd.gbp

I don’t think this is the beginning of a problem but it’s certainly an escalation. He’s going to try to win this war of attrition against his daughter by upping the stakes. She’ll bide her time and then get the fark out of there. I hope the support of his friends is enough compensation for him because he’s probably lost a daughter.

  • Greg M

As an aside , I wonder what she looks like, bet you 2 bucks she’s a BFUB

  • tas

It did seem a bit over-the-top, but I guess the message is aimed at the daughter’s friends as much as her.

Here’s the original BTW: https://www.facebook.com/tommyjordaniii/posts/299559803434210 Read some of the father’s responses.

    • Kosh103

And I am betting her friends see her father as a total dick.

  • Anonymous

Well Kosh I suppose he could have taken the typical lefty appoach and had a family conference with lots of group hugs, maybe expressed how upset they were in a poem and handed out flowers by way of closure.

    • Kosh103

Read what I posted above dipshit about how I would have dealt with this IF one of our kids and posted a winge on FB. No guns, no hugs  etc… Just good parenting without the first reaction being to pull a gun in anger.

      • joe bloggs

Kosh, your response to Salacious – the uncalledfor name-calling specifically – is pretty strong evidence that your positive parenting message runs only skin deep, and that in your own little way you are as full of anger, righteous or otherwise, as Tommy Jordan.

      • Kosh103

Joe, go tell someone who cares.
