Who in their right mind reads that piece of shit News Paper

  • Gazzaw

Our premium newspaper. What a joke………………

    • Neil

Do they say they’re the premium newspaper or is that your view? Never actually opened a copy of the paper and usually only read the other “premium” paper – (they wish) the DomPost if it’s laying arounf in a coffee bar I’m at for lunch….The public don’t call that one the DumbPost for nothing….

      • Dr Wang

        …otherwise known as the ComPost.

  • Vlad

Went a bit strange when Gavin Ellis left as Editor.  Now missing its demographic by miles.

  • Mully

WHat’s with all the commas in the headline?

    • Stevo

Hell, is it Phil, with a shaky finger,,,,,,

      • Adybombs

Nope just the normal literacy standards of the average modern journalist

  • davewin

The best $70 per month I ever saved when I cut off the deliveries. Bloody Tripe!

  • Beenthere

Only place I read it is at a cafe, & only if there’s nothing else. I certainly don’t waste good money buying the crap.

  • TravisPoulson

I need to wipe my arse, anyone got a spare copy?

Journalism, at, it’s, worse. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just one more ,

    • Whafe

TravisP, its not worth wiping your ass with….

Nothing but a joke, what worse is the amount of paper it wastes

    • Neil

¬†Not sure it has the right consistancy for dunny paper…..

    • Adybombs

but there’s too much shit already on it

  • TravisPoulson

Out of curiosity since I never actually bother to purchase a physical news publication, is there an online newmedia publication that IS worth reading without bias bullshit and hollow stories? I’ve generally read the Herald online out of habit, but their credibility is heading downhill like an avalanche.¬†

    • Macca

Yeah I’m with you Travis!¬† I used to quite look forward to sitting down in the morning with a coffee and reading the Herald on line.¬† Now I rarely bother!¬† The whole thing is so left leaning, its a bloody joke!!¬† I just don’t know who they are trying to sell their rantings to!¬† I would have thought that the bulk of their readership that could afford to buy the paper would have been made up predominantly of right wingers and honest workers.¬† So they give that raving socialist Mcarten the Sunday political spot – talk about stupid!

They didn’t even bother to publish the last Roy Morgan Poll the other week – had it been Labour gaining as National did, it would have been headline news for a whole week!
They need their heads read spouting the socialist drivel that they do.  Can you imagine a Church sending out its newsletter to its readers with pro-abortion messages throughout the whole thing?  thats what the Herald does daily but they are too stupid to see it!  And then they blame the rise of the internet for their plummeting readership!  FUCKWITS!

    • Magoo

The National Business Review is ok.

  • Ronnie Chow

Hasn’t anyone here noticed Whale’s changes on the page ? The Herald isn’t News Of The World just yet .

    • MrAuz1989

I was wondering whether it actually¬†said “Audrey Young, ¬†Repeater” or if it was just my eyesight.

      • TravisPoulson

No, you’re eyesight is serving you well.¬†

    • TravisPoulson

heh yea I started noticing a bit more after the intial comma overuse. The price listed at the top as “cheap” gave it away ;)

    • Peter Wilson

Hey he’s allowed some literary license. This is just a blog, it’s entertainment, nothing more.

  • Ronnie Chow

You may be on to something here , Whale . Bring back the Truth !

  • Satanictradeunionism

Ahh come on!  The NZ Herald is the daily Newsletter of the National party.  Why are you Tories hating on it?

  • HeyJude

The NZ Herald is crap. The only reason I currently have it delivered is that a little while back I got a puppy…and I needed it for him to wee and poo on. He is fully house trained now, must get around to canceling that subscription.

  • Steve L

You know how bad business is/lame the NZ Herald is when it is offering a 55% discount on GrabOne today

  • Blokeintakapuna

A week or so back they had a poll running about which political party people would want to run the country – listed in alphabetical order. National had over 40% of the 2200 odd votes – Labour still had around 27%… and then in the afternoon, it had vanished – completely. No amount of searching was able to bring it back up. I wonder why?

    • Jester

Happens all the time Bloke. Polls only seem to last the distance if the results appear to be trending left or the question is phrased to get the result they are wanting.

  • Arranh

It was good until maybe 18 months ago when the headlines started being based on the most pointless piece of the article (even when the article was 90% against that one piece) and when the Herald appeared to stop doing any research on what it posted. So many inaccurate statements, opinions with no basis and propositions from conspiracy theorists that are taken as fact.

  • Agent BallSack

Dotcom to produce round records :) Ahhh reminds me of Viz!

  • AnonWgtn

Herald really started when it went feral against Key and Banks, because one of their chosen thought it was clever to sell what he had not legally obtained HOS.
All the so called 4th estate are extracting Utu, and will continue until there is no sales left, only a freebee, to various lobby groups.
I expect the SST to go first – it is leaching money, and Fairfax, its parent ,will not put up with it much longer.
The Dom is a different proposition, however. It at least has balance, despite being in the home of the public service who are the most left wing, except the teachers.
It is not a sensationalist left wing paper, like the SST has become.
