Fiji making progress

Voter registration starts in Fiji on 3 July 2012.

The Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum speaks very clearly to cane farmers about how to go about registering for the election in 2014. He also urges them to go the Constitution Consultation meetings that are going to be held around the country and have their say.

The Attorney-General gets down to the level of the ordinary Fijian so well.

Murray McCully needs to announce the dropping of travel sanctions against Fijians helping the Fijian Government. Bob Carr needs to eat humble pie.

Ummm – elections were first promised to be held in 2009 – so now 2014 is looking likely?

Exactly. Fiji is a corrupt dictatorship. Travelling there and supporting the regime isn’t helping local Fijians, and never has. Only the clueless and hopeless think what NZ is doing isn’t ok.

I take it you have not been to Fiji and talked to the people on the street. They seem to be very happy with how Frank is doing things. Look what democracy has done for the Greeks…

Spoken like a complete moron. How exactly have the sanctions helped progress anything?

Before you can have elections you have to have a proper constitution not one written by NZ academics based in Wellington and foisted upon the people of Fiji that ensured endemic racism was protected.
