Peter Goodfellow seems blessed with a special kind of stupid.

The Sunday Star-Times can reveal that National Party president Peter Goodfellow is seeking out Conservative leader Colin Craig.

Goodfellow has never met the North Shore millionaire – and last week asked the Star-Times for his phone number. “Maybe I should [talk to him],” he said.

Only a fool would ask a card carrying pinko jourmalist for that sort of detail. Why didn’t he just ask Greg Hamilton to get the number?

    “The Conservative Party has emerged as a possible alternative support partner for
    National as pressure mounts on under-fire Act leader John Banks.”
     - nothing new, was commented on at the time of the election
     - not in this term, CP is not even in Parliament
    “The Sunday Star-Times can reveal that National Party president Peter Goodfellow

     - I can also reveal that cows produce milk
    “… and last week asked the Star-Times for his phone number.”
     - surely you jest! Surely it was a flippant remark, reported as a serious quote
    “Craig said he was happy to talk “socially” to Goodfellow and gave the Star-Times
    permission to pass his number to Goodfellow.”
     - so who’s the instigator here? wanna-be match-maker?
