Labour lacks a moral compass

We will all know when Labour are serious about winning back power. They will show they have a moral compass. At the moment they are oscillating from one disaster to the next.

Trevor Mallard and Andrew Little have shown contempt for the law, their peers and their opponents by acting like school boys over being served papers. David Shearer should have told them to arrange to receive the papers and either go to court or apologise, as by avoiding being served they give the impression they think they are above the law.

Shearer himself has had an absolute shocker on the Shane Jones Bill Lui scandal. Whatever this blokes name really is he should never have been given citizenship and should never have had a function in the Labour caucus room celebrating getting his citizenship. A moral leader would have asked Jones to leave parliament.

The problem for Labour is while they have ethical and moral issues surrounding them they cannot put pressure on National over their ethics violations. An opposition is supposed to be very moral, and Labour are not.

    Dover Samuels on with Willie and Rodney last week was most indignant about the allegation that the ceremoney (ha! that ‘e’ was a typo, but I think I’ll leave it)  was held in the Labour caucus room. It wasn’t, it was held in the Maori Affairs committee room…so completely normal and not special treatment or anything then…

       I think you will find that in Dover’s opinion if it is held in the Maori Affairs room then NZers have no right to question it i.e. we are only tenants here & he as a Maori can do as he pleases.

    A bit like Jack Sparrow in the pirates of the carribean, (in more ways than one definate pirates). Here I mean they have a compass, but it always points to the thing they want most…POWER. They will do and say ANYTHING if they THINK it will get them one step closer to it. Something they are continually accusing others of doing, without proof or substance.

    Cameron, you mention Shearer’s shocking performance with the Liu/Jones scandal. This was highlighted by his absolutely incompetent performance on radio with Larry Williams. Bumbling and backfooted are terms that come to mind. The man who would be king, what a joke.

      Shearer could be cut a bit od slack over his inexperience when waffling about bugger all, but on an issue like this his poor speaking skills have been compunded by poor thinking skills, and he’d already tattooed a target on his forehead. So had Little.

    Not only s moral compass, but a compass, maps and the ability to see where they are and what is going on.    A complete lack of direction, hence anywhere is good as long s they are in a positive spotlight.

    Tip:    When was the last time Liebour gave a clear fully funded fiscally responsible policy statement.   Yup, when ???

    A moral compass, in Parliament – that’s an oxymoron if ever I saw one – for any partner ensconced in there – the biggest pack of bludgers we tax payers have  to put up with.

    heard mallard and little got served yesterday. Their little childish game didn’t last long did it. Little was apparantly served as he go out of his car at home, with the words….”there are no fries with that, but you have been served”…So much for all the “i’ll film all these bully boys that try to serve me….” just a stupid coward, just like mallard….All blow and no GO!!!!!!
