Raid Redux

All the wailing about the Uruwera case led me to have a quick look through my archives.

And I re-discovered that Helen Clark even bragged about the raids in her 2007 conference speech – despite the violence that was going on outside.

Those with longer memories than the current bunch of media babies will recall that this was when Len Richards smacked a protester with his megaphone. (And yes that’s right – the police didn’t charge him with assault).

    Thats because they were relying on the police story of a vast brown conspiracy when it was just another hollow man episode.

    molotov cocktails….. none were found, they were drinking  from plastic water bottles

    Evidence of VBC ? Most arrested were discharged and only a few had convictions….. unlikely  to stand up to appeal

      If they really wanted to show it was all innocent and nothing was going on, Iti would allow the release of the covert surveillence tapes. Nothing to hide right? So let the public make an informed judgement.

      Judge said they were throwing Molotov’s around, therefore there was evidence of it which he had clearly seen. Sorry Sphincter, your anatomical namesake isn’t working, you are filling the room with smelly stuff.

        If you read the Judge’s sentencing notes, you will see in section 25, page 7 that the judge stated that, in relation to molotov cocktails, “none of [the defendants] were identified as one of those using the weapons”

         Phil, Because you were arrested for a serious crime does not mean the Police were at fault.   The police are a Government department so their actions are taken in accordance with the laws created by the Government e.g. Helun and her mates at the time.  

        So if you have to say it was all corrupt then you are talking about your Labour party as well, that is hypocritical
