The Huddle at 1740

I am on Larry Williams’ Huddle on NewtalkZB at 1740.

With me will be the lovely Josie Pagani.

Our topica at this stage is silly Trevor Mallard getting served by an old lady.

And the same sex adoption laws being mooted.

As usual I will post the audio tomorrow, but you can listen through the normal methods or online.

  • Gazzaw

Good oh Cam! Keep the pressure on re Jones.

  • Phar Lap

Well done Cam,you flattened that sheila with an Italian name.Seems she has had a bad day.She should be called Panic, instead of Pagani.Wonder if Mallard was  lurking in the shadows with his recorder  and phone camera to make up another lie   trying to set you up again.

  • Kiwiexpat007

    You pwn Pagani’ lovely ass.

  • Kosh103

Perhaps you could also talk about how Ian Leckie was right as John Key admitted and National are now doing a bit of a rethink on teacher numbers when it comes to Technology staff.

    • Phar Lap

The Huddle was on at 1740 not 1840.Remember we are now in winter time, the clocks went back almost 2 months ago. Will cut you some slack, as i know you have a fair comment on the teacher numbers.Good luck with that. You will get a lot of support as long as you dont try to extort some votes for 2014.

    • Mediaan

I think what you are trying to say is, How lucky this country is to have a government that is flexible, positive and inclusive…

  • Kiwiexpat007

kosh, do you mean listening and taking corrective action.  Are you saying thankyou?

    • Kosh103

LMAO thats a nice way of saying National fucked up in their haste and now have to fix their mess.

      • Kiwiexpat007

        manners.

      • Jester

Kosh you seemed to have missed the question I posted for you twice yesterday. I will repost so you can give a response.

“Kosh I noted above that someone stated that the school you teach at has a ratio of one teacher per ten students.

I would expect that with such a ratio the school would be performing well above the norm.

However I just looked at the 2011 ERO report and the report has concerns. Any explanation for that?”

      • TravisPoulson

You might need to speak up a bit jester.

      • Kosh103

When it comes to a Govt that attacks children Рlike hell.

  • Guest

At least they admit theyve made abit of a booboo with numbers. Sweet as

    • Kosh103

Yes, now if we can just get them to admit all their other errors we will be back on the right track.

      • Pukakidon

Send any kids home for not being able to afford the right shoes today Kosh?

        Typical Bloody minded teachers.

      • Kosh103

No puka. Thats the sort of thing one would expect from a private school. Most
( there are a few but not many) public schools understand fully the issues that parents have to deal with when it comes to costs.

More so that national, thats for sure.

  • Guest

Settle petal your language bad for a school teacher! And stop being so dramatic its nott a biggy OK.

    • Kosh103

Actually raising class sizes is a big deal. Cutting teachers is a big deal, Putting the learning of children at risk is a big deal.

So thank you for your advice, but I think I will remain worked up and pissed off at this anto education govt.

      • Pukakidon

Seems as though the school you teach at has an extremely high proportion of teachers to pupils Kosh.  When are you going to answer Jester?

  • Gazzaw

Just a polite query kosh but life can’t be too arduous for you in the heart of rich dairy & play farm country with every material thing the school needs at its beck & call. Nice small classes. Very comfy. Maybe time to head into the big smoke and get stuck into some real challenging teaching.

    • Boss Hogg

I can’t see the private schools sending a recruiter up north with an employment contract in hand for our narrow minded little leftie¬†faggot any time soon……………….

      • Mediaan

Hey, very good idea. Competition between schools for staff.

Create recruiters that can go round and steal good staff from other schools. The market would ensure the good recruiters got used again and paid competitively.

Create a tiered school system, where parents struggled to fund schools better, and kids struggled to be good to teach.
