Two new Offices for ATEED?

It looks like ATEED is getting into a bit of empire building…they have called for tenders for office fitouts for TWO offices…one in Mairangi Bay (pdf 498k) and one in East Tamaki (pdf 496k).

Why does ATEED need two new offices to be fitted out?

It looks like a couple of million bucks is being lined up to be dropped into fitting out these offices.

    The East Tamaki development is a waste of time.

    ATEED have a perfectly good space in Manukau City which is underutilised – half a dozen staffers rattling around in a very nicely appointed space that would easily accommodate three times that number – a little subletting might be a far more cost-effective solution. 

    Not only that but the Manukau City office is handy to East Tamaki AND the Food Bowl development out by the airport – both are key areas of interest for the old Enterprise Manukau team. 

    I’ve heard several stories recounted by EM people of their unhappy experiences with the direction and management of ATEED since the super-city roll-up. Sounds like this’ll be another unhappy chapter…

    How can you expect special ATEED staff to work in Manukau City.
    Ugh how ordinary – alongside the plebs, and not enough free car parks for these special people.

    I have heard ATEED will now have a level of responsibility for the new ATI (old IRL) here in auckland. This will likely see an increase in staff and an increase in activity.
