Clearing out the fraudsters

Good work by Housing NZ to chuck out 300 + people who were cheating the state house system.

More than 300 state housing tenants were evicted in the past year for lying about their circumstances, including one couple that ran an internet business from their property which turned over almost $400,000.

New figures show the number of tenancies ended for dishonesty has been steadily rising over the past few years. In the past year 312 tenants were terminated, up from 241 last year and 114 in 2010.

I am looking forward to seeing David Shearer’s press release supporting the increased measures in catching these fraudsters.  Isn’t this exactly what his man on the roof AKA Rufus Paynter was all about?

Unfortunately this is probably just the very small tip of a very big Iceberg.
The number of people once in a State House think that it is theirs for life and beyond.
What’s worse is that Housing corp. knows about all the scams and does little about it, then trumpet what a successful year they have had. You can’t tell me less than 1% of State House tenants are running a scam. Given the high number of criminals and beneficiaries.

What would be interesting is what regions are these people being found out , it would be interesting to a breakdown of citys/towns . Does anyone have that info ?

Yeah and their first move was probably to WINZ for an emergency grant to pay for a motel. These pricks should have their mug shoots and details in every government support agency. If I was king they would no longer be entitled to any further benefits in NZ for life.

meanwhile the banks ensure young NZ’ers will never own their own home,by pumping up property prices.66% over valued!no surprise there. The banks create money out of thin air and then apply over 90% to the non productive sector.Nothings changed…record profits, bonus’ for criminal banksters…and beneficiaries and state house tenants are pariahas….what a joke…!

Hopefully every state agency now has a flag beside the name of each & everyone of these bludgers so they are unable to ever live off the backs of the hard working taxpayers of NZ
