Nearly 44 years ago I was born in Suva, Fiji.

Apart from a holiday once when I was a child I haven’t been back to Fiji.

This week I have been in Fiji conducting interviews and will release those next week with a series of observations on Fiji.

Yesterday I managed to find the house we lived in when I was born, on Statham Street at Suva Point.

We lived on Nadi Airport from 1957-61, have been back to see our old place and school etc, but I won’t go to Fiji again until they get democracy. Don’t like validating the current thuggery.
