Corrupt former MP finally pays for tiling

Taito Phillip Field, Labour’s convicted corrupt former MP has finally paid for his tiling:

Disgraced former MP Taito Phillip Field has been ordered to pay back just under $28,000 that he made from his crimes.

In 2009, Field was jailed after being found guilty of bribery and corruption and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

He had accepted labour from Thai people whom he helped with immigration matters and then tried to cover it up.

The Solicitor-General took him to court asking for the $58,000 he received from those crimes.

During the hearing in June this year, Field disputed those costs and described them as inflated.

In a High Court ruling released on Monday, Justice Hansen ordered Field to pay $27,480.

    Taito Field + Labour = ZERO credibility.
    Why TV quoted Field as “disputing the cost” after the fact that he’s been proven to be a corrupt swindler in one of the highest offices of the land is beyond me? Sure they probably needed his soundbite for a “balanced” story… Yeah Right!
    Taito Field is a prime Labour Party example of their rampant, fetid corruption. Jones and the NZ Citizenship for only $15K donation corruption scandel that also has numerous other MP’s scurrying for cover as they throw Jones under the AG bus… is yet another prime example of just how corrupt and tainted Labour actually are, have been and will likely continue to be so.
    These two examples are with sitting Members of Parliament no less – I wonder what else has yet to see the light of day? Who else in Labour are also deliberately corrupt? Who is looking and checking?
    Past behaviours are a likely indicator of current and future behaviours – as well as attitude, thoughts and actions….
    The cynic in me wonders how much rorting went on between the Labour government appointing senior management to governemnt departments who then went on to “approve” millions of dollars of funding to the unions for “training” over a 9 year period?
    I really hope the AG and the SFO don’t get caught with their pants down, where NZ then needs to hold a Royal Enquiry to uncover all the other corruption that Labour has so far managed to keep hidden from the disinfectant qualities of brilliant sunlight?
    Respective Authorities – please remember…. A stich in time…

      You ask who else in labour are corrupt BiT. I would suggest that any MP with a union background or links needs to be checked out. If not directly involved themselves they will know where the bodies are buried.
