A good idea for Tolley

Andrew Sullivan blogs about a Police Department using Pinterest to post about crims.

Perhaps Tolley could think about thisĀ initiativeĀ ..she will of course have to fight off the crim hugging liberal panty-waists:

Law enforcement isĀ starting to harnessĀ a new force in social media:

A few months ago, we told you about theĀ Pinterest page set up by the Pottstown Police Department, where they uploaded (or pinned, or whatever) pictures of wanted criminals. As a result, arrests in Pottstown were up 58 percent.

Now, following Pottstownā€™s lead, the Philadelphia Police Department hasset up their own Pinterest page, though it is still in the early stages. Over on their “board” you can see images of robbery suspects, wanted criminals, smiling policemen with their dogs, and Charles Ramsey looking like heā€™s trying to figure out how his Blackberry works. Some pictures are more important than others.

A quick look at the ethnicity of those in the photos makes it obvious that the strategy would never be acceptable in NZ. It would end up like ‘Crimewatch’ where photos of caucasians who have inserted bent coins in parking meters are displayed alongside Maori & Islanders wanted for rape & murder.

After all in good ol’ Godzone facts & truth must take a backseat to social engineering.

Police are after a tall fat Pacific Island male somewhere in the South Auckland region, wanted for everything but tax evasion – if anyone has any information please contact NZ police.
