Hamburger-making machine churns out custom burgers at industrial speeds

It’s essentially a hamburger computer.

According to Momentum Machines, making burgers costs US$9 billion a year in wages in the United States alone. The company points out that a machine that could make burgers with minimum human intervention would not only provide huge savings in labor costs, but would also reduce preparation space with a burger kitchen replaced by a much smaller and cheaper stainless-steel box.

So even the joke about failing at school and working at McDonalds is going to be a thing of the past.  You will fail at school and become a Hamburger Computer Engineer.

    Mmmmmm…. makes me hungry…. ;)

When it comes to jobs, the world really is changing in a *big* way.

I wonder if lawyers will ever be replaced by computers?
    Probably not.

If you can teach a computer to be a cunt, I don’t see why not.

Disclaimer:……..ah fuck it. I stand by my comment.

When the revolution comes, lawyers will be among the first against the wall.

You’ll have to narrow it down for me, I’ve lost track of which revolution is which these days.

I heard Gerry ordered one for his office

Ah yes Whale but you still need the food to put in said machine, that’s where us bludgers come in, still plenty of work bludging.

The Labour versus Capital argument is a serious issue though. In a world where jobs are destroyed by machines, lets say a future where machines make/repair other machines.
Now we don’t need workers, but where do people get the money to buy the output of the machines?
