Tweet of the Day

Just in case Hamas thought that topping their boss was just a wee joke, there is this message from the IDF:

We recommend that no Hamas operatives, whether low level or senior leaders, show their faces above ground in the days ahead.

Don’t mess with the Israelis.

Does this mean the IDF want the opportunity to try out their bunker-busters?

  • Mediaan

There is a really good way for Palestinians to avoid having things fired at the cars of their senior military leaders.

It is to NOT fire up-to-30-km-range rockets at the non-combative Israeli surrounding towns, on the other side of the Palestine-Israel wall.

Somebody should suggest it to them.

    • cows4me

I believe it’s been suggest many times Mediaan, they appear to be lousy listeners and slow learners.

    • Dumrse

They should thank their lucky stars its the odd car or two and not a burst of sunshine.

  • Changeiscoming

Hamas can’t say they weren’t told.

  • Neil

Ok – just had to add this to the debate – is there actually any way to stop the we fired at them because they fired at us? Mankind’s stupidity and inability to let go.

    • Mostly_Harmless

By “letting go”, do you mean the Israelis should let their people be killed?

    • BR

It’s already been tried, with the initiative taken by the Israelis.

      It failed.

      Bill.

    • Gazzaw

Turning the other cheek has not been an overly successful tactic in Jewish history Neil.

In all honesty I don’t they’ve ever done it, have they?

  • blazer

its a shame that Israel is dominated by blood thirsty Zionists…when such a large % of the population are in favour of peace and conciliation.

    • In Vino Veritas

Blazer, that would be why the Likud Party (centre right) got 21.61% of the vote, the Kadima Party (a party formed in 2005 with a breakaway from Likud) got 22.47% and Yisrael Beiteinu Party (Nationalists) got 11.70% in the 2009 election. Because they were in favour of peace and conciliation. It should be pointed out only two other parties (Labor 9.93% and Shas – sephardics – 8.49%) got above 5%, and neither reached 10%.
There is a huge difference in wanting peace and conciliation and putting up with war like aggression. I’d suggest that if you were having mortars lobbed onto your citytown etc, you wouldnt be quite so charitable with the perpetrators.

    • Mostly_Harmless

      Self-defence is not bloodthirsty.

    • Alsh

What the fuck being Israel being dominated by Zionists even mean? Do you even know what Zionizm is? I suggest you look up the meaning of the word.
