Latest Roy Morgan Poll

Shearer just can’t get the numbers to budge:

Today’s New Zealand Roy Morgan Poll shows steady support for Prime Minister John Key’s National Party at 46% (unchanged since mid January). Support for Key’s Coalition partners shows the Maori Party 1.5% (down 0.5%), ACT NZ 0.5% (unchanged) and United Future 0% (down 0.5%).

Support for Labour is 31.5% (unchanged); Greens are 13.5% (up 1.5%), New Zealand First 5.5% (up 0.5%), Mana Party 0.5% (unchanged), Conservative Party of NZ 0.5% (down 1%) and Others 0.5% (unchanged).

If a National Election were held today this NZ Roy Morgan Poll says the result would be too close to call.

Whale Oil – While Sheep is not moving forward, the toxic Greens and Winnie the Poo are making gains which is bad news for Naked Emperor.

    • Yoni

Which is just as bad, who thinks that winston, Russell and shearer could do anything together. I suppose the positive is that hopefully they could not fuck anything up if they did nothing

      • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

The pain is their numbers will stack up and with Winnie’s hatred towards Emperor, he will side with the communist comrades for sure. Once Winnie drops below 5%, Emperor will be smiling all the way to the bank

        • Phar Lap

Was just wondering how Winnies health was. Will he make it to 2014.

          • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Our luck is so bad, he will be around until 2023 when Sheep will eventually be defeated…..

          • fozzie2

Probably better than Mr ‘fall down – oh I am jet lagged’ Key ……

          • Hazards001

God your’re pathetic. Fuck off back to the standard Clare

          • fozzie2

Clare ? Mmm I have a second cousin of that name – she is a nun – and may well comment at the standard – have more fun with the idiots here !

          • Hazards001

You ever had a job or have you spent your whole life bludging and trying to defend it?

          • fozzie2

hazzy – I have been gainfully employed since I left school at 16 – now run a business consultancy – that contributes widely to the small business community and pays taxes willingly – volunteer for three local help organisations. See I believe in giving back to our great country that helped raise me, after my mum was widowed young. I want for my kids and future generations the hand up, given to my mum, when life got tough – rather that this lot that happily took for themselves what the state gave, then then slammed the door shut for those following …how about you ?

          • StupidDisqus

I’m not a communist. Plain and simple.

            You clearly are.

          • fozzie2

good lord l – if being part of and giving back to your community is communist – then you stupid, are as your self selected name suggests….

          • Dumrse

and I’m sure I’ve said this before …….. Fuck you talk shit.

          • Hazards001

It’s easy enough to find the main points of my story on here. But if you want it in a nutshell..had nothing from no one and gave my life start away supporting others. I’m so thrilled for you that life is so great you feel able to give back. So give back whatever you want but get the fuck out of my pockets as I’m still supporting people that can’t support themselves..and that’s pretty much my life story!

          • fozzie2

“as I’m still supporting people that can’t support themselves”
and so am I hazzy ….. you sound like a very angry person ….

          • Hazards001

            A very fair observation.

          • fozzie2

Hazzy please find a way out of your anger – am not going to preach to you – just to say you cannot look after those who depend of you if you continue down this path. Trust me – been there done that !

          • parorchestia

Is that as bad as Mr “I have a video”? Or Messrs ” Green Dollar from a hot printing press” ? Or Mr $300, oops make that $500,000 per house?
The NZ economy is still very delicate. Any of the Greens or Labour’s policies could do great damage. Your nice, little consultancy could be swept away in the resulting recession.
And Labour + Greens still doesn’t equal the “right” block. NZ First will swing, as they have before. So don’t think the left is in the ascendant.

          • fozzie2

Para I don’t care too much for Mr Shearer – i like politicians with convictions that speak their mind and have the best interest of New Zealand and our home grown businesses at heart. Key has clearly demonstrated time and time again that he sees his role as PM as just a ‘smile and wave’ exercise – whether is be swanning down runways, pandering to his mates in the financial industry or his new found friends in Hollywood – it’s all just a joke to him. It is my privilege to work along side some really innovative business – these people are smart – but with the way this govt governs many are struggling under the mad exchange rate, that Key made his money betting on – and government preferring to line the pockets of their already rich mates. They aren’t asking for much – R&D tax credits at the level offered to the Hobbit, to create real sustained and innovative jobs would be a start !! We have to build an economy that relies on more than white oil and mythical make believe creatures.

          • Hazards001

And now we get down to it at last…you’re just one more with your hand out. Why should the taxpayer fund R&D for you or the businesses you mentor or whatever it is you do?

If the idea is sustainable take it to industry and get your investment, if it’s not then tough titty.

The Hobbit got an incentive to bring investment to NZ. You’re asking for a handout. Totally different thing.

Be like me going to IRD and saying I have an awesome business plan that will eventually employ lots of people but I have no money. If you let me pay no tax till I’m showing blah blah profit I’ll start the business. What do you think they will say to me?
Oh..and anger is the only thing that has kept me going for this long..so I think I’ll keep it…ta!

        • Yoni

The only thing they will agree on is to form a government, that will be it, nothing else

          • Patrick

as long as someone funds winnies loss bill he will not give a toss how badly they fuck the economy

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=706456651 Nigel Sherrie Fairweather-Hunt

^the profound statement of the week:

“The only thing they will agree on is to form a government, that will be it, nothing else”

          • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

The baubles of office will keep these lunatics going together for at least 3 terms before they all explode.

    • fozzie2

Absolutely – the tide is turning ….

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=706456651 Nigel Sherrie Fairweather-Hunt

it just proves that 5-7% of the nation are nutty nutty nut bar fruit cake loonies that flop from party to party, back and forth and shows that we DONT live in a true democracy where the party with the confidence of the people with the numbers gets ELECTED.

I swear if the greens get a ministerial portfolio of ANY kind im off.

    • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

NSF-H – These are the portfolios Sheep will be allocating to Greens in 2014 – Deputy PM and Finance Minister, Economic Development Minister, Transport Minister, Environment Minister…..

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=706456651 Nigel Sherrie Fairweather-Hunt

then he should prepare for the greens to equal labour in having 22% each. man they will be fractured. EVERYONE including their swingvoters of the election will be ruing the day.

      • In Vino Veritas

“IVV – Shearer is shaking National’s boat now. My spies tell me that the first opinion poll from TV1 and TV3 will show the gap between National and Labour to be in single digits now and Shearer within few points of toppling Emperor as the preferred PM.”

So said you three days ago. I guess 14.5 is three single digits….

        • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

IVV – You need to add Toxic Greens and Winnie the Poo to Labour’s total. These three are axis of evil and need to looked up as one party from now on

    • fozzie2

Cool – would you like a wave off party – coz I am sure we could arrange one !!

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=706456651 Nigel Sherrie Fairweather-Hunt

walk a mile in my shoes before you wave me goodbye madam.

        • fozzie2

No was just offering you a means to your ends – bet your ‘threat’ is as hollow as your posts !!

iv been to aussie. lived in sydney for 9 years. i decided one day that i was either moving my family back to new zealand or to another part of aussie. i choose home but it would be very easy to scoot back. melbourne next time i think.

    • Elizabeth Bourchier

I’ll drop you to the Airport.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=706456651 Nigel Sherrie Fairweather-Hunt

tacking a no brain required comment like that on the end of my post makes a fool of YOU. NOT me.

      • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

If NSF-H goes to Aussie, who will pay your dole? So think before you shoot.

  • Pete George

The poll was taken up to Sunday, and Shearer was virtually invisible up to his speech on Sunday so that won’t have impacted the polls. It was unlikely to impact the polls anyway.

    • Lion_ess

The poll doesn’t take into account Shearer’s newly found extra-wide smile though.

  • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Whale Oil – Are you able to give a projected seats based on the percentages assuming Banksie and Dunne Deal will win their seats and Maori party will hold their 3 seats?!

  • StupidDisqus

says the result would be too close to call

Just goes to show the undemocratic nature of MMP. The intended result is of course perfectly clear: a national majority government with a mandate to end benefits, arm cops, Glock the crims, and wipe out leftism and unionism from NZ once and for all!

    • Meg

You need to stop thinking along the lines of parties. That is so old fashion.

It is blocks you need to be thinking in. National is but one part of the right wing block. And by the looks of it, the left block will govern after the next election.

      • Whafe

Very good way of putting it Meg… Of which means, indeed the Left Pinko block will take the reigns post the 2014 election…
Be scared, be vary scared…… Oh I am, I am crapping myself already… Not defeatest, but seems there is very little one can do with a society that feels they are owed!

        • Hazards001

Meg’s not scared..he’s a poor performing school teacher that will keep his job under the lefties and have no to reason to up his performance…such is the way of the left…mediocrity in all things except the taxation of those that try to exceed mediocrity.

        • Meg

Even Peter Dunne knows change is coming. His response to the PMs speech was hardly supportive.

He is setting the groundwork to swap sides again.

          • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Yes, Dunne Deal will be Revenue Minister in Sheep’s cabinet for sure

      • StupidDisqus

And you need to stop rationalizing defeat by the left and the unions, and start working on narratives that will protect and enhance true freedom and democracy in NZ!

Hint: unions, Labour & Green parties – let alone governments – are completely antithetical to true freedom and democracy.

        • Meg

In your little mind they are.

True democracy is when the people elect the block that they want to govern. Not the block you demand the do with your nonsense.

          • StupidDisqus

            a) it’s spelt “bloc”
            b) that’s the whole fucking point. “The people” want a National majority government that will enact real reforms to end crime and bludging.

why is that so hard for you to accept?

          • Lily

That has to be the most naive statement of the day. Well done you!

  • surfisup

wouldn’t national lose because they seem to get slightly less votes than polls suggest? Just a hunch, not sure it true or not.

  • Hazards001

“If a National Election were held today this NZ Roy Morgan Poll says the result would be too close to call.”

Well shit..if I couldn’t make a call so obvious in my job I wouldn’t have one…must be awesome to work for Roy Morgan where the inability to have a position is a perfectly acceptable position!

With no clear direction from the Nats and no potential coalition partners aside from the Waka jumpers that will instantly leap back to Liarbour to keep snouts firmly planted in trough Key is buggered. He now has less than two years to get some real policy together and show some direction.

It’s time to clamp down on Union donations and tighten the rules so everyone is playing the same game, ergo no corporate ones either. The MMP review is not finalised…sort some or all of the inequities in the socialist rort especially the Waka Jumping legislation that most of us thought had been sorted years ago after Alamein Kopu only to find out it had expired when we had the same situation with Brendon Horan.

The reversal of tax grabs by labour via the WFF needs to be reviewed (can’t be acted on as I’ve noted before..to most people a subsidy and bludging only occurs if it’s someone else getting the handout)
It’s past time for some serious rebuttal of the Red/Green stupidity that is publicised via the MSM and a bit of arse stomping to be done.

Key and Joyce need to take a look at the sense of frustration building in their core constituents and start formulating a plan to get them back to the fold. NOW!

    • StupidDisqus

start formulating a plan to get them back to the fold. NOW!

There are really only three or four plans that could make any difference now.
      – Glock the cops – along with a legal framework that encourages them to kill crims
      – Terminate the benefit system (including super)
      – Terminate the health system
      – Terminate the education system

anything else is just pissing around the edges.

      • Hazards001

Gimme fucking strength…Nazis and Commies…a reply from each within seconds of each other

      • Meg

Good lord, and destroy the country in the process.

Go live in Africa if that is the sort of country you want.

      • Dumrse

        Fuck you talk shit.

    • Yoni

Agree with a lot of why you say however the margin of error which is a function of the sample size of the poll is the reason why it is too close to call

Simple statistics, anyone making a call on that data would be pure and simply guessing
