As dumb as it is to drive drunk, it’s even dumber to brag about it on social media to 655 people on your friends list.
Jacob Cox-Brown, an 18-year-old from Oregon, learned that lesson on New Year’s Day when police showed up at his door after they were alerted to a Facebook post he wrote about driving drunk, KGW.com reports.
“Drivin drunk… classsic
but to whoever’s vehicle i hit i am sorry.
,” the status update read, according to the news outlet.

Not so “classic” to Jacob Cox-Brown was the fact that some of his more sensible friends dobbed him in, and was charged with two counts of failing to perform the duties of a driver. The facebook confession was insufficient evidence for a drunk driving charge.
He doesn’t get any smarter though, denying afterwards that he had even been driving drunk and mouthing off about his friends that did the right thing:
