      “well past his prime” don’t know. But, what I do know is, 15 years ago I attended a dinner where he was the guest speaker. It was with out a doubt the best talk on economics I have ever seen. The boy knows his stuff, you just have to listen.

          Sucker. Kiwi saver is just a big ponzie scheme, it’s only a matter of time before they have to make it compulsory to keep feeding the scheme.

          The only people that will do well out of it are the one collecting the fees, regardless of performance.

          The Government will do well when asset testing is introduced for super. Think that is fair remember you have been funding it through your Taxes, the deadbeats will get a free ride again.That is if a greedy bankrupt Government doesn’t dip into it, don’t think for a minute that it can’t happen. Just think of it as another TAX.

          Now the real con. You are locked in regardless off what is happening in the market. Guaranteed someone somewhere will be looking to retire early and be locked into a falling market watching there savings disappear, try get your money out then, good luck with that.

          Talking with a friend where it is compulsory at 9% during the last finacial crisis he had friends retiring that had lost 50% of there savings.

            Maybe they should have transferred to a cash based fund as they got closer to retirement? They would have been in a high risk growth fund to lose that much.

    There are not a lot of people that I truly hate, but Cat Pause intensely annoys the shit out of me. She is proof that even a major fucking idiot can be called Doctor – and that’s a discredit to all doctors that aren’t idiots.
