Herald on Sunday thanks me for helping, no probs Bryce, glad to help

Remember the email IĀ receivedĀ from a reader pointing out that Bryce Johns’ editorial that was supposedly a tribute to Sir Paul Holmes was in fact an insult?

You know the editorial where he boasted of it on Twitter?

Bryce Johns tweeting about his “tribute”

As “honest a piece as you’ll read anywhere”? Calling Sir Paul Holmes inimical is an honest tribute apparently.Ā

Well, it seems they listen, or at least read my blog…because in this weeks HoS:

I think that’ honestly’ he was closer to the mark the first time, though egotistical is probably closer to the mark.

    You’re their new sub-editor – don’t forget to invoice them…

Was never a Holmes fan. Not wanting to speak ill of the dead, but he was a cock.
Mind you he did get to bang Fleur Revell, love that story of her handing him her undies in the cafe or restaurant or whatever.

Hypocrite – clearly you do speak ill of the dead – you’re just not brave enough to admit it.

So is too soon to hit on Lady Deb yet?

Drinker, smoker, conveyor of fine young women – what a legend!

    • Richard McGrath

Do you mean purveyor rather than conveyor?

      • Pissedoffyouth

        I do, thanks!

    Haha

I only have two things to say:

    1. You’re welcome :)
    2. How typical that it changed from “I’m just putting the finishing touches on the Holmes tribute” to “WE used the wrong word in OUR editorial, and WE thank the readers who pointed it out”. Why not man up Mr Johns and just say “I’m a cock”? There, I fixed it for you (again)
