Maybe the boat people violate this basic rule

I really don’t know what all the fuss is about with the so-called boat people coming to New Zealand.

Though we should be cautious, the first lot of boat people who made it here have caused no end of problems ever since.

Perhaps we need a simple three question test to check to see if people can come here…like this one the Aussies use. 

At least some of our commenters will be happy with that special little section 24 sub section b3.

    The answer is ‘NO ENTRY , not without Passport and Visa ‘ , immediate return to port of departure under International Rules , similar to that which airlines must adhere to .

      I can’t help wondering if perhaps the sort of person who had the nous to organise a passage here (albeit illegal), took great personal risks on leaky overcrowded boats for an uncertain end to their journey deserves more sympathy from me than some political opportunist like Zaui. It should be remembered that most of our ancestors were European refugees of sorts to the new world. It’s quite often that the children and grandchildren of these people can become highly successful and productive people. Hope this isn’t a racial thing.

    I heard yesterday that Achmed Zaui now has 27 family members in NZ. Remember him? Championed by the left as an academic who would never be a drain on our society. lLove to know how much the decision to allow him residence has cost us (so far).

        It was on ZB yesterday. Sorry I can’t be more specific than that. Don’t stress Bobby, he’s probably supporting them all from the takings from his doner kebab stand in The Square in Palmy although some reports have him as now working in a foodhall in K’Road. He could always turn up on the labour list I suppose.

    How the bloody hell can a scumbag like this get Refugee Status in our country. I suppose if an asian with multiple id’s and convictions in another country can get in here then anyone can, I can’t believe it is that easy to get in. The immigration laws here are as weak as cats piss obviously.

      The first crowd were Rarotongan flotsam and jetsom who later went on to strip the place of every living thing they could get their hands on and eventually bred succesfully to the point where they had to eat each other to keep the population managable.

    We should have maintained really strict criteria way back when. Yes, globalization is at the root of our expanding gay community for sure.
