One of these things is not like the others

via the tipline – An army member snapped Lianne Dalziel:

Hey Cam,

Snapped this today at work. A car park full of signs saying reverse park only.

She’s not even in a designated carpark.

Couldn’t stop laughing all afternoon.

Rules for some and rules for others, why is it always the Labour MPs that get snapped parking in the wrong places…and before some wag says what about Bill English? …hardly a tory is he?

  • Gazzaw

    Entitlement culture.

    • Ronnie Chow

There you go , the Great Kiwi ‘Only for 5 Minutes’ Entitlement .

Gifted at birth , this works for double-parking , loading zones , disabled parks , blocking driveways , talking to a mate , as long as , hey , you’re not getting up someone else’s nose . Yeah , Right.

  • Pissedoffyouth

That’s a crappy car for a Labour MP, normally it’ll be a new car.

    • Agent BallSack

Probably her great unwashed people mover. Wouldn’t want proles in her own car!

    • parorchestia

You want to see the one at home!

  • blazer

look to the right of Dalziells car….plenty more parked the same way.Where is the sign? Some tool with not much going on in his sad life!

    • Callum

That would be the next row over, where they have actually backed in and are facing out? Might want to take a better look at the picture.

      • Michael

The tool with the sad life is probably just acting on the statistics that point to reverse parking being safer than reversing out of a park.

    • http://www.whaleoil.co.nz Whaleoil

They are on the other side of a walkway dickhead…all back parked as per the signage.

      • blazer

pathetic.Cars are parked either way in carparks all over NZ…btw is she breaking the law?

        • TeacherUnionsRscum

Smoking in someone elses car doesn’t break the law, but you wouldn’t do it.

Its called common curtosy, try it some time

          • blazer

poor analogy fool. What if the someone smoked themselves and didn’t mind! This is trivial nitpicking .There are far more important things going on in NZ .

          • Agent BallSack

Standard leftie tactic. Get proven wrong and rather than admit it…ATTACK!

        • Agent BallSack

The reason for parking like that numbnuts is so when 300 people roll off the train after work they can pull out of the carpark without causing multiple hazards. Think before you open your mouth. Instead youre just a Labour apologist. Why should Clarkenfeuhrer or any of the elite obey rules?

    • Ronnie Chow

“plenty more parked the same way”

Me not dumb , me not silly….

      • blazer

coulda fooled me ….why you speak pidgen english?

        • unsol

If you want to nit pick then I could also ask why did you miss the apostrophe when you said “Dalziells car”?

Some people like to or can only talk & write slang or text-type language & others are unsure of how to use punctuation correctly…

          • blazer

mind reading another of your talents is it?

          • unsol

            Yes. Thank you for noticing.

          • Ronnie Chow

We can read yours , blazer . Just say woops now and then .

  • StupidDisqus

looked at the small print – hey stupid taxpayers, you’re payin’ for that car, and the office, and the flunkies, and the MPs salary, whether you vote for ‘em or not.

  • Greg

What do you expect from labour they are always going against the flow.

  • Time For Accountability

Is this the impound park for drunk drivers?

She will most likely deny she parked the vehicle, blame it on staff and resign to prevent a full inquiry.

  • Time For Accountability

If her face is on the drivers side and the rear what is on the other sides.
Perhaps the vehicle is a-about face.

  • cows4me

Get a few gays and Swiss balls in that one.

  • LesleyNZ

She should get a ticket – for not obeying this carpark’s rules.

  • Spiker

    Just trying to be “progressive”.

  • Agent BallSack

    Caption Contest:
“1 in 100 cars in NZ are Gay – Can you spot the gay car?”

  • GregM

Real good example of the continued arrogance displayed by Labour MP’s.

  • Brian of Mt Wellington

Just goes to show that they don’t know their nose from their arse.

  • unsol

Good grief, our taxes are being spent on gas guzzling loser cruisers? That is a far greater offence than some doris not knowing how to park properly.

    • Hazards001

It’s an Army carpark, people in The Armed Forces know how to follow orders or they soon find the exit.

  • Patrick

A number of employers demand that their employees reverse park – it is for safety reasons apparently. More than likely that is why Dalziel refused to do it – just to show the big bad employer!
In fact one of the big mining companies in WA reward their staff with gift vouchers if they dob in their fellow colleagues for such crimes as not crossing the road at the lights.

    • Hazards001

If you reverse into a carpark there is a zero chance you are backing into the flow of carpark traffic..there is a much lower chance that someone is walking in the space between cars too…however if you nose into a carpark you have a lot less chance of seeing whats behind you as you leave. Given most people can’t back with mirrors and have necks welded in place it’s probably a good policy.

As for your mining company…well that’s the same outfit the head office has a policy of rewarding people that dob each other in for not holding a handrail as they go down stairs..and they’re bleeding money like a fucking sieve as their staff spent more time knifing each other in the back to up their KPI’s than doing any productive work..but hey..if that kinda behaviour floats your boat feel free to introduce it into your own business.

      • Patrick

No food or drink at your desk – hot drink as long as it has a no spill lid on it. Pathetic. No coats or jackets on the back of your chair.
We are about to do some work for a mining co – the beer fridge has to go from our office – wtf??

        • Hazards001

Pathetic isn’t it? An industry that is for risk takers and people that like action is now run by softcocks with agendas and KPI’s to fill. Bad luck on the beer fridge though…find a spot in the basemant.

  • BJ

If this is an army event or carpark it is no wonder that the cars are regimented. Good idea though when everyone wants to leave at once at least they can see what’s in front of (not behind) them. Lianne was obviously not on time for some event and not at all observant – not a good look for a politician. Please oh please can the Pope grant me one wish – don’t let Labour ever get back in government.

  • Steve (North Shore)

Lianne must be reading this – wait for the abnegation of responsibilty.
“Oh ‘someone else’ blocked me in”

  • kehua

    Pissed again.
